Jennie sighed and tossed the phone onto her passenger seat.

Her plan was simple: go to the dorm, talk to him, don't cry, and leave. There would be no argument, and there would be no tears. It was a simple visit. Fuck you, Kim Taehyung, for making this seem like a good idea.

The travel to the dorm was a short one, shorter than she would care to admit. She considered going back home and pretending she didn't know who a Min Yoongi was. But she couldn't.

She parked the car and stepped up to the door. She were sure the six other boys inside were being obnoxious, running everywhere and trying to fit everything into last minute work.

A surprise party would have never worked.

Jennie knocked, Taehyung immediately opening the door. He gave her a look, only them knew the meaning behind.

She entered, bombarded by the rest of the boys. They hugged her, greeted her, welcomed her as though she weren't a common person to be there.

"Is he still in his studio?" Jennie asked as soon as Jimin had let go of the hug.

"He hasn't been out of the room." Namjoon said. "I tried, but he is very stubborn."

She nodded wordlessly. The only one who truly knew what was going on was Taehyung, and it was clearly making the group both worried and confused.

Jennie left them to finish whatever they were doing and walked agonizingly slow to Yoongi's studio door. She used to just walk in carelessly and make herself comfortable as he worked, admiring his concentrated glares.

Now, she rung the doorbell.

At first, there was no response. When she clicked on the doorbell again, she heard a muffled "go away!" from the other side.
She rung the bell once more, probably agitating him beyond belief as he thought it was one of the boys trying to force him to go out.

The door swung open, nearly causing Jennie to jump in surprise, as Yoongi's voice said "for the last time, Kim fucking Taehyung, I am not..."
He shut up.

The moment that his eyes landed on her, his voice got stuck in his throat. Jennie looked the same as always, but to him she looked brighter. As though a halo of yellow light shone from around her body. He didn't know what to say. His heart sank, beating rapidly against his chest.

She stared up at him.

Before she could say anything, his arms pulled her into an embrace she weren't expecting. His arms wrapped around her head and back, his head resting on her shoulder.

Jennie couldn't even hug him back, her arms trapped by his.

"Yoongi..." she started, but she quickly stopped.

"Babe, I am so sorry," he said into her neck, her hair moving under his breath. "I'm so sorry. Oh god, I'm such an idiot. I'm sorry. I..."

"Yoongi," she moved back so she could connect her eyes to his.

He stared back, eyes brimmed with tears. He looked awful, like he does after he spends days working. "You have to promise me something."

He didn't say anything, just watched her. He was scared, she could see it in his eyes. She didn't know if he was scared of what she's going to say, or what the promise would be, or if she would reject him.

"You have to promise me that you will trust me, and that..." Jennie couldn't finish her sentence before he cut her off again.

"I promise, I swear I promise." he said, his hands tightening around her waist.

"And," she continued, trying not to smile. "you have to promise me that you will never accuse me of cheating on you ever again. Because I would never. Ever."

He nodded frantically, agreeing to her promises. He smiled a gummy smile at her, Jennie returning it with her own, before he pulled her back into a hug.

He leaned back just as she reached up to place a kiss on his lips. It was a small one, barely a second, but it held all of her future promises in it.

"I love you."
