Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart

The bright rays peep into the bedroom through the tiny gap between the purple curtains.

Zara's eyes slowly opened and she had to blink rapidly to get adjusted to the intense light.

For a few seconds she couldn't for the love of all the good things remember exactly what was happening in her life or what happened yesterday or which year and what day it is. I guess all of us are familiar with this typical morning phenomenon. Its kinda cool isn't it?!😁😁

She sat up and stretching her arms looked around the room and bingo! All the beautiful memories of her long desired marriage with her love came to her mind!
(Sarcasm to be noted😈😋)

Glancing at the clock she realised that she had overslept after fajar. It was 11:00 am now. She got out of bed and went into the bathroom for a refreshing shower.

She decided the outfit for the day and started getting ready. It was a beautiful netted black frock which reached till her knees. She paired them with black jeans and her all time favourite golden-black jacket. Her grumbling stomach only made her hurry. Applying her eyeliner perfectly due to years if practise and her mascara and finally she rubbed her lips against each other after using her favourite nude lipstick. She pulled her hair back into a messy ponytail and headed downstairs.

Back at Usman mansion she atleast had Serenity to hangout with her through the big boring house but now she dosen't find a single soul. Its dead quiet and she dosen't like it. But maybe its better than meeting with Aahil.

In the kitchen she found fruit loops and helped herself with them. She decided to go out and meet probably meet up with Afifa at the mall.

Taking her cross shoulder bag and putting on her shades she headed out. She walked towards the garage and found a guy cleaning the cars. She asked him if he could let her have the keys to any one of the cars.

"But Ma'am we are not allowed to do so without Sir's permission." He meekly replies.

"I have asked him and he said yes. Now give me the keys." She says determined to get some fresh air.

"But Ma'am I wasn't-..."
"No buts! Keys please" she says in a final tone.

Once she hits the road she changes her mind about meeting up with Afifa at the mall. She needed some alone time to figure out the ruckus going on in her life and she knew the best place to go to.

The buzz of the city and people faded behind her as she drove away into an alley with old houses almost in ruins. She parked her car and got out.

She walked over the dried leaves which cracked under her shoes. Pushing open the old rusted iron gate, she entered the forgotten park.
She walked through it, memories from a long time ago surfacing her mind. They always did when she would come here. But the problem was they were faded memories. Most of the things were hazy. But she always came here in the hope that maybe she would remember. This place gave her a feeling of happiness, of love and that's what she needed. She seated herself on the swing and moved to and fro, the the swing creaking due to rust. And she gazed over at the small, crystal blue pond at the far end. The only thing she could remember better about. She remembered throwing stones and floating plastic ducks with a boy. He would always wear bright yellow shirts and she would wear bright red. His giggle was clear in her mind. She could rember his shiny brown hair but his face was hard to recollect.

She closed her eyes and let the wind sway her hair as she tried to tried to zone out of everything for a while.

After a while she decided to walk around a bit and got up. Suddenly she heard cracking of twigs and approaching footsteps. She turned around cause nobody ever came there.

She was shocked to see the person who emerged from behind the bushes.
