Jada's P*O*V
I couldn't believe Johanna had just spoke to me. She questioned my attitude towards her. Which meant she cared, but why though? Why was I so important? Why was it so important to know why I didn't like her? I'd always ask myself questions I didn't know the answer to. I appreciated her effort in trying to talk to me, even after I attempted to push her away. She still wanted to talk to me. I had no other choice but to tell her why I was acting the way I did. She deserved to know. The rest of the day at school went by quickly. The bell rung to dismiss school and I decided to wait outside for her. I was standing with Taylor and Kevin.
"So she wants to talk to you?" Kev asked.
"Yeah" I smiled.
"Well why are you smiling, I thought you didn't like her," Taylor just had to budge in.
"I don't know, she asked why I hated her, so I'm going to tell her" just then, I could see her from a distance coming my way, with Gabby by her side.
"Go go go " I told them waving my hands back and forth so they could get the memo that I wanted them to leave.
She finally walked up to me, both her and Gabby.
"Hey dweeb" Gabby spoke first. Johanna turned and gave her a look. "Sorry" Gabby apologized.
Then Johanna turned to me, "Well what is it?" Johanna then looked in my eye and questioned me.
"I'm actually not comfortable talking about it in front of Ms. Gabrielle" I looked at Gabby while saying it.
"Well shit my bad" she shrugged her shoulders before walking away to the nearest bench and sitting down folding her arms.
"Now what?" She demanded me to tell her.
"Well I was acting mean towards you because you became an Untouchable " I sighed.
"A what?" She looked confused.
"A Untouchable. It's the name me and my friends came up with for the Gabby and Reagan tribe" I exaggerated.
"So you don't like Gabby and Reagan?"
"Hate em" I instantly replied.
"But what does whatever you have going on between you and them have to do with me?"
"Because you're one of them! Everyone that hangs out with them becomes a bitch towards everyone",
"I mean you've been a bitch to me, you might as well join them....." she told me "...and just because they're cruel, doesn't mean that I am. Birds of a feather do not flock together, so don't label me as an Untouchable" she continued to speak.
"I'm sorry for being mean to you. I just hate how they feel as if they're better than everyone and treats everyone beneath them poorly". I pleaded.
"Want me to speak to them about it?" She offered.
"No, that'll make me sound weak. They already think I'm a dweeb" I complained.
"But if it's bothering you, why you don't you say how you feel?"
She was right. I should just approach the situation, but I didn't want to. I'd rather ignore them and just continue to stay to my only two friends.
"I just don't wanna talk to them because -"
"Gabby!" She ignored me, also cutting me off. She screamed at Gabby to get her attention, and also to call her back over to us. Gabby then walked and stood next to her.
"What?" She asked.
"Why are you guys mean to Jada?" She addressed the situation.
WHAT WAS HER PROBLEM! I JUST TOLD HER NO!
"I mean it's all jokes, never knew she took it personal," she lied. She's been making me cry my whole time at this school. Always embarrassing me in-front of everyone, with her stupid boyfriend right behind her encouraging her. She knew whatever she did would make me feel bad, yet she continued to do it.
"Well she does take it personal and we shouldn't treat her bad, because she doesn't deserve it, no one does", Johanna stood up for me. That changed my whole perspective on her.
"Well, you're right," Gabby agreed, then she turned to me.
"Look, I'm sorry Jada for being mean to you all this time,"
I didn't know whether or not she meant what she said, or if she was only doing it because Johanna told her about it. Either way, she was still apologizing and it was very surprising, and I appreciated it.
"It's cool," I accepted her apology.
"Great! Now that we've cleared that up!" Johanna clapped and her locked her fingers together , "There's a party tonight and you should come" she offered me an invite.
"Where is it going to be?" I asked.
"My house" Gabby informed me and gave me a piece of paper that had the directions on it and she smiled "See you there". She then grabbed Johanna's hand and they both walked away.
Wow, she was being nice to me for the first time and I was loving it already. My first official invite to a party. A party that only the popular kids were invited to. I was excited because I've never went to any of Gabby's parties, I'd only hear the crazy stories about it. So, to be apart of it this time, was a great feeling. I couldn't wait to go.
