JOHANNA's P*O*V

I was so flustered because of what had happened. Why would Jada invite me over knowing that her family disapproved of her being gay? I felt terrible. I didn't even want to imagine what her grandmother was thinking of me. She looked at me in disgrace as she kicked me out of her house. Her blank expression was still on my mind. I really didn't understand why Jada would put me in that position. I know she didn't do it intentionally, neither of us knew her grandmother was there. I wished she had told me that her parents didn't like her being gay. That would have been important information. I read every last text she sent me without replying. I needed time to clear my head. I didn't want to talk to her, neither did I want to see her. This gay life was something I don't think I could put up with. It was causing too much trauma already. Of course I still liked her, I just wasn't certain on if it was a lifestyle I wanted to keep up with. Maybe I could still like girls, just not Jada. I didn't want her parents to hate her, mistreat her, or turn their backs on her because of me. She didn't deserve that kind of treatment because of me. I didn't want her to get into any more trouble. I was giving it a lot of thought. I don't think it was good for both of us to be sneaking around anyways, but if it was wrong, why did it feel so right? Who am I kidding? I missed this girl, but I just couldn't hear her voice or see her face right now. I picked up my phone and dialed Gabby's number, asking her to come over. She was all I needed right now. It took her about half and hour before she helped herself into my home and into my bedroom.
"What's wrong?" She asked closing the door behind her.
"So me and Jada kind of got caught today," I began to tell her the story.
"Caught doing what?"  She said squinting those big brown eyes at me.
"The nasty," I explained.
"Wait, you and Jada was fucking and you didn't tell me?"
"You're drifting away from the topic!" I shouted and we both laughed.
"From who?" She questioned.
"Her grandmother. Her grandmother doesn't even accept her."
"Well if she doesn't accept her then they won't accept you," Gabby said. Well she was right. I was all about meeting parents, and I didn't know if I could handle Jada's family disliking. They definitely won't look at me the same after her grandmother had already seen all my goods earlier.
"I just don't know what to do Gabby,"
"How about this, give Trae a chance, and if it doesn't work out. You can try to fix things with Jada," she suggested. Apart from all my other options, hers seemed like my best choice.
