And It All Falls Down

I don't know what came over us but we just kept getting closer and closer to each other when we suddenly kissed. As quick as it happened it ended. Niall and I jerked apart in shock of what just happened. He just looked at me like he was scared, and I looked at him totally confused to what actually just happened. I glanced around to see if someone possibly saw us. Harry, Liam, and Zayn were too into their dates that they hadn't noticed. However, Louis was standing still looking at us. He looked hurt and betrayed. Eleanor just stood next to him with her head slightly turned in our direction. I felt the tears pooling at the brim of my eyes at the sight of Louis. Before the tears could fall, I ran off the dance floor and onto the empty balcony.

"Why? Why am I the one feeling guilty?" I spat softly as the tears came down.

"Nikki." I heard Niall's voice.

"Niall?!" I spun around in surprise- the tears not stopping.

Not very long after, Louis appeared before me and Niall. My eyes grew wide as I saw him standing there. Niall saw my expression and turned his head to see Louis. Niall flinched and his whole body was now facing Louis. He walked over to us staring with no expression, however his eyes said other wise.

"Louis, listen." Niall began.

"HOW COULD YOU?!" Louis shouted. His voice was cracked, with pain evident in his voice.

"Louis." I whispered not loud enough for anyone to hear.

"Louis it was nothing! I swear. It just kind of happened!" Niall tried to put sense into him.

"You know how I feel about her!" Louis tone was angry.

"I'm sorry! I really am. It's just that Nik looked so lonely and I just couldn't help myself. I'm sorry Louis. Listen to me, it meant nothing!" Niall yelled. Louis stayed quiet for a few seconds before he finally spoke.

"No..." Louis' voice was soft this time.

"You shouldn't be sorry. Nikki and I were never together to begin with." Louis muttered looking at the ground. He looked up at me and he was… crying. At the sight of him I felt my heart break. Tears of my own started to pour even more.

"I'm sorry. I... have to go." I stammered running past Niall and then Louis.

I slowed my pace and walked passed our table. I didn't even think about grabbing my hand bag with my money, keys, and phone. I ran through the doors and was about to leave when I saw all the paparazzi's still there waiting. I clenched my fists in annoyance and turned to find some other empty area for solitude. As I did so, I found Eleanor standing before me.

"E-Eleanor!" I gasped.

"Nikki, may I talk to you?" She asked.

Her voice seemed kind yet sad. I looked at her confused but nodded in agreement. She lead me up a flight of stairs and into an empty room. By the looks of it, it seemed that we were in a music room. it was a massive room with a few chairs set up against the wall and a single grand piano in the center of the room. Eleanor walked up to the piano and lifted the cover of the keys. I closed the door behind me leaving it slightly open. I glanced back at Eleanor to see her caressing her fingers on the piano keys pressing one of the keys causing it to echo through the room. When I finally did make my way next to her she slowly looked at me. She looked just as pained as Louis did.

"Eleanor." I whispered.

She stayed silent and I continued to look at her, taking in her beauty, her wavy hair, small waist, and long legs; she was stunning. That was when reality hit me hard, like a boulder punched me in the face. Of course Louis would choose her over me, she’s the total package.
