Awkward Company

It wasn't going to be Louis, but then I thought it would be mean of me to put in Caroline Flack. I felt like I was degrading her or something. Darn my good-nature! HAHA! So here it is!!!

"Louis?" Liam was just as surprised as the rest of us. 

"So you decided to come after all." Harry cooed. 

"Well, the more the merrier!" I tried to sound like I was okay with it.

From my peripherals I could see Niall staring at me. I knew that he was genuinely concerned about me, but I was big girl and I could stand my own ground. 

"Hey Nik, why don't we get on some rides!" Niall chirped. He was definitely making an effort to keep Louis off of my mind, which I was thankful for. Niall was a really big help. 

Niall lead us all to the roller coaster. I glanced back at Zayn and laughed. It was obvious that he was nervous. To calm him down, I walked over to him and wrapped my arms around his. 

"It's okay Zayn, to be honest, I'm scared too. So we'll ride it together alright?" I assured him.

"Okay." He breathed nervously.

I was walking in between Zayn and Niall while Liam and Harry walked in front and Louis walked behind us. I could feel Louis' stare on my back. It was starting to get annoyingly uncomfortable but I ignored it since there was nothing I could do about it anyway. Niall and Zayn held me hand protectively. It was like I was their little sister and they were keeping me form harms way. I have to admit it, I really enjoyed the feeling.

We finally made it to the roller coaster. When we did, I felt Zayn's grip tighten. He must have been scared. I looked up at him and smiled to reassure him that everything was going to be fine. Louis and Liam sat in the front, Niall and Harry sat behind them, and Zayn and I sat in the back. The butterflies started to fill my stomach while we waited for the ride to start. Harry and Niall were talking about how excited they were while Louis and Liam were already cheering and screaming about how awesome it is. 

"We can do this." I told Zayn. He took a deep breath and looked at me.

"Yeah, we need to face our fears sooner or later." Zayn breathed.

"Yeah." I said, starting to get nervous. 

The ride started moving to the edge of the first drop that would be starting off the whole ride. My hand instantly went to Zayn's and he did not hesitate to hold on to my hand for dear life. We were both afraid of heights and this was going to be quite an experience. I closed my eyes as I felt the ride start to fall. When that first drop came I could not stop screaming. I could hear Zayn scream loud and clear next to me, Niall and Harry were yelling as well about how awesome it was, and Liam and Louis were also cheering. I was glad they were enjoying themselves while Zayn and I were practically dying of fright.

When the ride finally ended, Zayn and I sat there motionless. My hair was a mess and I didn't even have to look in a mirror to know it. The rest of the boys got out and started laughing at us. I looked over at Zayn and he still had his eyes shut. That was my breaking point. I started to laugh at how adorable Zayn was.

"Zayn. Open your eyes." I giggled. He slowly opened his eyes and let out a deep breath.

We both got out and like an idiot, I tripped. Unable to stop myself I accepted that I was going to hit the ground. As I should have known, the boys would never have let me fall. Someone caught me and upon contact something felt weird- a good weird. I felt safe, warm, like I belonged in this persons arm. It must have been Niall. He was always so nice and sweet to me, I had a feeling that I'd eventually fall for him. Smiling at the thought I looked up in front of me to see Niall standing there looking a bit concerned. Niall? If he was over there, then… Zayn? I looked back up at my rescuer and saw that it was Louis! The last time I saw Louis, he was standing a good distance away next to Liam. How did he get here so fast?
