"My dearest daughter, I thought you should know that I'm in a hurry. I gotta' move up north but its just temporary. My little Shasta, I'm always going to be with you until the end, now matter what happens. You will always be my little baby girl and always will be."

A final breath taken from a mother, while the malador sits there watching her last hours. She placed her head, on the mother's chest, sobbing.

She looked up and screamed on the top of her lungs, begging her to get up and to come back to her.

There was silence, after the fire dies down, she watched as they took her mother's corpse away from her. Her tears leaved her eyes, she looked at the dog that she admire one last time.

She collapsed, she shattered, she was alone.

She ran away far, hoping she will find a piece of her broken heart.

Shasta has awoken, gasping for air. Her eyes widen, her terrible memory flooded back. Her tears sparkled with the moon, making her look up.

"I miss you mother...I hope you know that..." She placed her paw over her muzzle and crys herself to sleep.

An orange horizon hover over the malador, her soft fur shined with the sunrise.

Opening her silver eyes, leaving a big yawn out of her mouth. Stretching her little paws, she went out of her cave that she is now living, and began her journey up of her mountains.

Shasta began climbing the steep-thin mountain, pebble rumbled between her thighs. She struggled getting the last step and made it up the mountains.

The view shows forest piled between each other, hills was green as ever. Her eyes sparkled at the beauty of the view. She lay there, enjoying the view.

Her ears perked up, hearing a voice nearby. She quietly went towards the conversation and her heart sunk.

"Where are you little squirt, I need you get my food!" Yelled the bear.

She slowly walked towards the bear with her tail between her legs. She gave an fearful expression as the bears saw her.

"Ah, there you are." He started "Well, what are you waiting for...GO GET MY FOOD!"

With that, Shasta ran from him, obeying his orders. She stumbled across a rabbit and she knew what she had to do, but she couldn't. She thought about being abused by the black bear.

She had no choice but to kill. A sound of struggling and thumping, then it stopped. It was horrible to Shasta, she left a tear towards the rabbit and was flash by a similar scene.

She shook her head trying to vanish the horrible memory. She sadly picked up the lifeless rabbit, head on to the cave.

She nervously arrives with the meal, and she place down on the floor where the bear was shown.

"Ehh, finally you gave me some good to eat." Said the bear devouring the rabbit.

Shasta looked at the meal, and her stomach rumbled. A piece of meat landed near her paws but it wasn't enough to fill her stomach.

Her tears fall like a raindrop, she chewed on the meat and that was it to eat.

"Your lucky I don't give you another black eye young lady, give me another cold kill and I will ruin you!" Yelled the black bear, Shasta flinched with a fallen tear strain.

She left the bear, and head towards the lake. She gazed at herself, and hardly hold back tears.

She lost her mother, and she has to be the maid of a abusive bear. She just wish she can just leave this horrible place.
