A Faith Feeling

Chapter 7

"That should do it" said Katie rapping the bandage around her paw, "nice and tight."

"Thanks Katie, that feel better now", said Shasta, resting her paw on a soft pillow inside the lookout.

"Yea but I'm afraid that you won't be to participate in the party this week, Shasta." Katie then cajole to Ryder, "Shasta, must keep off of her paw for a while. She has to change her bandage weekly so no infection won't spread worsley. In the meantime, you'll be fine."

Ryder amble behind Katie, "Thanks again Katie. I just wanted to ask if you want to go to the party together?"

"Y-you mean like a date!" Katie said shockingly.

"Yea..like a date."

"Oh I will love too!" Katie clasp against and waved the pups goodbye. Shasta then smirked at Ryder, "a date huh?" Shasta began to snickered.

Ryder blush.

"Can it Shasta." He said, causing Shasta to giggled. "Someday you'll find a love one yourself."

This made Shasta frown a little but never noticeable. She thought about Chase, big time. She wondered if she ever get a chance with him, but its hurts her seeing hanging with someone else more than her.

Days past and the party has began to start. "Bye guys! Have a wonderful time in the party!"

"We'll be sure to bring biscuits from the party!" Zuma said. With a few chuckles and laughters, they began to exit the lookout on their way to their haven.

With Shasta all alone in the lookout, her paw still resting on her pillow. "Great, I can't even play pup pup boogie. Maybe I can watch Apollo then."

In the interval, the pups finally arrive to the fashion party. The party was full amazing, beautiful gowns, suits, masks, and so much more.

"Wow.." Rocky said in disbelief.

"This is the most beautiful thing I ever seen." Said Skye.

"C'mon Rocky! Let's go dance!" Said Skye, grabbing Rocky paw.

"Hey look Rubble, all you can eat buffet!" Said Zuma.

"Oh, well that food is mine!" Rubble and Zuma both hasten toward the fare, leaving Chase alone.

Chase paddled with a sigh until bumping into Everest. "Oh, sorry, I wasn't really looking."

"It's fine, by the way, where's Shasta. Wasn't she too have to be here?"

Chase then quickly turned into his thoughts. He completely forgot Shasta is home alone.

"Yea, she kinda got hurt from the mission. So she decided to stay home."

"Oh really, no wonder they told me to do the fashion show."

"Yea." Chase slowly looked at the ground awkwardly, almost feeling sad.

Everest got the sign of him, and smile softly. "You are worry for Shasta, ain't ya."

Chase raise an eyebrow, try to play dumb. "What you talking about?"

"Chase, you might talk about you know, your feelings?"

Decided to sit next to Everest, he let out a deep exhale. "I'm having these warm feelings in me. Everyone knows I like Skye, but something about Shasta makes me..."

He had no choice of words.

"Fuzzy?" Added Everest. "And what makes you like Skye though?"

"Well, she cute, she very smart, and the most beautiful pup here."
