A Faith Feeling

Chapter 10

The slow pace of the Malador pressing each paw on the harden floor. Shasta stood in front of reflection of herself, showing how beautiful she is. This gave her the image of her mother, which made her frown.

"Will he love me like I do?" Shasta stared at her reflection.

"Will he?" No answer.

Shasta shook her head and walked off towards the lookout. Katie walked out her building giving her refresh of her nostrils, she turned to the other side and waved at Shasta.

Shasta gave that smile showing off white fangs. "Shasta I've finish your outfit for the fashion show tomorrow. Do you think you can put it on?"

"Sure, I have nothing to do then to be just laying down and resting my paw." Wifting her paw.

Katie gesture inside her pet shop and Shasta followed behind her.

The Shepherd sat there with widen eyes and frozen. "You do know that right?" Said Marshall raising an eyebrow.

No words escaped Chase muzzle. Marshall awaited his answer, his smile now turn into a concern. "I don't believe you." Chase whispered, he got up and motioned his way out of the lookout.

"Chase, you can't stay in denial. I'm warning you.." said Marshall going after him.

Chase hid from behind the lookout, with Marshall looking around. Love your mate. That familiar voice enter the ears of Chase, he beaten himself up, "get out of my head!" He yelled, covering his ears. "Chase?" A female voice is heard foreground of him. It was Skye, standing there with a smile.

Chase calmed himself and smiled. "Yea Skye, everything is fine." Said Chase in a soft tone.

"You look pretty worried for me, did something happened?" Said Skye concerned.

Chase didn't know how to respond, and so in thoughts he didn't hear the small pup calling out his name. What am I supposed to say? That I have complication because I love Shasta then you. He expression was petrified, thinking he loved Shasta then Skye.

"I-its nothing, I just need to clear my head out." Said Chase turning forground to Skye. "Well you gotten us too worried for you, are you sure you are ok?" Said Skye in a concerned tone.

"Yea, I'm fine, like I said I need to clear my head for a moment." Said Chase walking pass her.What wrong with me? He thought to himself.

Meanwhile at Katie place, Shasta wore usual flower crown, and her dress that goes with the bandana. "There we go!", Katie looked in awe seeing Shasta with a pink stripe on her face and shyly smile, "What's the matter?" Said Katie in concern. "N-Nothin' I just never seen myself in a gown, beside I'm not that beautiful."

"Hey, don't beat yourself up, you are beautiful in your own way. Beside your very unique than the rest of the pups." Giggled Katie.

"Unique? What makes myself unique?" Said Shasta.

"It's not important right now, right now I gotta get the other girls." With that, Katie had left out of the room, leaving Shasta alone once again. "Well, pawey looks it's just you and me again."

Shasta stared at herself in the mirror, a frown escape her face. She thought about the shepherd, knowing how stubborn he is, he could easily crush Shasta dreams and spirit.

She know how Chase won't return her feelings, his lover, his beta, and his everything is Skye. It broke the Malador heart knowing Chase real love, and imagining them being mates broke her even more. "What makes her so special than me? Why can't I be like her?"

Shasta shook her head, and hold back the tear that want escape her eyes.

"Who am I kidding? I will never be Skye. I will never have the things that Skye has. Chase will always choose her over me." The last clear liquid dripped upon her cheeks, and let out a sigh.

She glanced at the braclet she worn since she was a pup. Noone had notice her wearing the braclet to this day. A gift that she will always remember the special someone who had gave it to her.

"Hey Shasta!" Said the German Shepherd running towards the malador with an excitement expression upon his face.

"Hey Chase, what got you so bubbly today?" Said Shasta with a small smile.

"Nothin', I just wanted to give you a gift for being my favorite person and the bestest friend in the whole world!"

Shasta shyly smiled at the statement, and grown a pink stripe on her muzzle. Chase pulled out a handmade charm braclet that has charm of a half sun and moon. "This represents us when we always look at the sunset and the moon together." Chase then placed the braclet on the wrist of Shasta paw, where both pup has met eye to eye. Both blushing.

Shasta opened her grey eyes with a small smile, "I won't loose hope, I have to keep on going."

Chase stood on the side of the bridge looking over the crystal sea. The air and breeze never felt so good to Chase. This reminds him when he toured Shasta to the town, and this spot was her favorite, and kept a special place where they first bonded.

As the memory past through his head which reminds him of a certain malador. He wonder if Shasta and himself are becoming distance then closer as usual.

"Excuse me?" An unfamiliar voice called out to Chase.

"Excuse me? Do you know where the fashion show taking place?" Asked the golden pup with his eyes hidden under the cap he is wearing.

"It is taking place at the city hall." Said Chase not bothering to look at the pup.

"Thanks man, say aren't you Chase from the Paw Patrol?"

"Yeah, I am Chase, leader of the pack, who are you?" Chase said raising an eyebrow.

"Oh pardon me of my rudeness. The name is Jakey, as you can see im a golden retriver." Said Jakey, holding out his paw.

"Nice to meet ya too." Said Chase.

"Wow. I never knew or thought I will meet a celebrity in Adventure Bay!" Said Jakey

Chase raised an eyebrow once again. "Celebrity?"

"Yea, I heard of you guys but anyways I must get goin', I have to warmup for the big night."

With that, the retriver ran towards the city halls, leaving Chase in confusion. Why does he look similar to similar to Shasta?
