I sat on the couch this morning. We didn't have classes today so we were all attempting to relax. Draco was still sleeping and I was sat on the couch in my spot with my favourite book and a cup of extra dark.

As I sat and the smell of coffee filled my nose, I felt peace. Yet still in the back of my head, I wondered about Draco. Did he even like me. I don't know where these feelings even care from. I had promised myself that I would never fawn over a boy like Lavender.

Draco was just mysterious and so confident. He had this way of annoying me to the point I was laughing. He just was him. Dark, Reclusive, Hilarious, Gorgeous, Cocky, Talented, and most presently, Unobtainable Him.

Today was the day of the ball, and if my calculations were correct, in about three hours girls would be redecorating my bath with more eyeshadow, perfume, and glitter than I had ever seen.

So in knowing that, I enjoyed the peace of silence and fell asleep in the sofa.

I came downstairs this morning to see Hermione asleep on the couch with a book in her hand. As I looked at her I truly saw what my friends had been seeing in me and Hermione. Was I the only one who noticed how the gold reflected on her hair when the sunlight hit it? Was I the only one who knew coffee put her to sleep? And was I the only one who knew that every time we had sex that we sat in each other arms and I worried about her?

In that moment, I saw her eyelashes flutter open and she looked at me and smiled.

I have been head over heels for Draco for a while now. But for some reason, I haven't made a move. I wonder if he thinks that when I said were just friends that I didn't like him. But today I woke up with him looking at me. His eyes were kind and gentle but he looked worried in a way.

D: Lets have breakfast, my treat.

So I got dressed in a heavy sweater and some boots because it was rainy and cold today. I thought Draco meant he was making breakfast or that we were going to the great hall, but his plans seemed to differ from there.
