Clumsy

Chapter 3

"Ouch!"
"Eek!" They both yelled in unison, as the inklings both rubbed their heads.

"Look, I'm so sor-..." (Y/N)'s eyes trailed up, past the oddly familiar crazy arrows, past the strangely recognisable aloha shirt, finally resting on his face. Bright pink eyes aligned with hers, something about them drawing her in like the moon draws the tide.

They both stand there, locked in each other's gaze for at least a minute.

"This is one hell of a coincidence," She looked away, chuckling slightly.

"How would you know about hell? You're obviously from heaven." He winked, earning a blush and a roll of the eyes from (Y/N).

"Aloha. Nice to meet ya~!" He stuck out his hand playfully, and (Y/N) grasped it lightly.

"Ciao! Nice to meet you too! I'm (Y/N). What's your name?"

He burst out laughing, and apparently, his friend had been listening too, who was now rolling on the floor with laughter. His friend didn't appear to have any eyebrows, but hey, she wasn't one to judge.

"What's so funny?" (Y/N) inquired, wondering if she had mispronounced.

"My name is Aloha, sweet cheeks," Aloha wiped the tears from his eyes, grinning broadly. Suffice to say, (Y/N) was mortified.

"I am sooo so so so sorry! I thought you were just being friendly and using different languages. Ugh! I'm so dumb!" She threw her head in her hands, trying to hide her spreading blush.

"Hey, it's okay! No offence taken. It was just really sweet and priceless, that's all!" He slowly pried her hands from her face and brushed her tentacles back behind her ears.
"Let's hang out sometime! I'm sorry I can't right now, I've got training, but here's my number." He scribbled on a piece of paper barely legible numbers, with a small heart. "Text me soon, okay? See you later (Y/N)!"

"Sorry for falling on you!" She called out to him.

As Aloha skipped away, his eyebrow-less friend followed.

"Yo, Aloha seems to like you but don't do anything dumb. Just, be careful, okay? You're too nice to get hurt." He whispered to (Y/N), before disappearing after Aloha.

'What a strange thing to say' a slightly shaken up (Y/N) thought, after waving them goodbye.
