Chapter twelve
ERINS POV
Two weeks later....
Haley still hasn't turned into one of... them yet. We are going to go to my friend Z's and ask him about it. Z works with ZAP. It stand for zombie apocalypse protection. They help out people and hold up camps and junk for people who can't survive on there own. For example, babies, elderly, mentally challenged people, and other junk like that. Anyway Z is one of the head people in the group. His brother Blaze is head. Z would have been head if he hadn't been in a coma at the time. Z is a scientist also, which is one of the reasons we are going there. Z is like a uncle to me. He and my dad were really good friends.
I'm pretty sure he might freak out at first,but he'll be happy we came to him. He lives, well I hope he is still there, in a house close to the ZAP headquarters. It's just him there. We are walking there now.
"Erin?" Haley asks holding her arm.
"Yeah?" I reply.
"Do...do you think he will like me?" she breaths in and closes her eyes as she says that, then opens them and looks at me.
"Of course he will! Who wouldn't!" I smile and put my arm around her shoulder, hugging her.
She smiles and nods, but then turns back into a frown. I stop walking and so does she. I cup her cheeks and bring her real close.
"Haley I love you and so will he don't worry" I kiss her. She smiled in the kiss and broke away hugging me.
"Thanks Erin" she looks deep into my eyes as I do the same. I smile and kiss her nose. Then link arms with her.
"Come on let's go"
She smiles and leans her head on my arm as we walk. We walk for about 20 more mins or so and we arrived there. We went up to the door and I knocked the knock that we used to use as a code. I heard shuffling and then the door opened.
"Erin!" Z said and pulled me into a big hug.
"Hey Z" I hugged back and then we let go.
"Good to see you. So what brings you here?" he smiles.
I glance at Haley and she is holding her arm nervously. "Can we talk about it inside?" I ask.
"Yeah of course! Come right in!" He moves out of the door way and we step in. I grab Haley's hand and flash her a reassuring smile.
We walk into the living room and sit down. "So what's up?" he crosses his arms and leans back on the recliner.
"Something happen...something bad.." I said. He furred his eyebrows and leans in a little.
"Ha...Haley got bitten.." He jumps up and runs towards his gun. I jump up and grab him. "Stop! She's been like this for two weeks!"
His shoulders relax a little.
"She...has?" he turns around and looks at Haley then me.
"I think she might be the cure for everything." I say
"Let me runs some test on her"
I look at Haley and ask her if it would be okay if he did so. She nodded her head hesitantly and stood up. She walked over to me and stood beside me. I intertwined our fingers and kissed her on her temple. She smiled slightly at me and nodded as in I'm-ready .
"Follow me" said Z.
We did as told. We walked into the very back of the house and there was a door with many locks on it. Z pulled out lots of keys and began to unlock them all. He let us go first as he locked it again.
"Sit here please" he walked past us and pointed us to a gurney. Haley sat and I stood next to her. He put on a white lab coat, or doctors coat, and some plastic gloves. He grabbed needle and some other junk and started tests.

"You're right she is fine but I wonder why?" says Z.
"What should we do?" I ask.
"Well you should stay here for a little while and let me test on her some more so I can figure it out. it shouldn't take that long." he says. We nod our heads and he starts to show us our rooms. I decided to stay in the same room as Haley like at home. We talk about heading back out and getting things to stay. We decide that we will do it tomorrow and eat then go to sleep.
