Two months later and Tom and I were getting settled into our new house.
We had just finished unpacking and we were walking through each room making sure it was how we wanted it.
My office
Tom's office
"Everything looks great darling. Let's go relax. We've been working on this all day." Tom said, giving me a kiss on the head.
"Alright let's go watch some Netflix and cuddle." I said.
"That sounds great." Tom's said, surprise me when he picked me up bridal style and carried me to our room, both of us laughing.
We turned on the tv and watched Netflix the rest of the night, happy that we finally had a house.
The next morning I woke up to my phone ringing.
"Hello?" I asked groggily.
"Hello Mrs. Holland. I'm calling on behalf of Marvel to let you know that we are in the works of planning a solo movie for your character." The lady on the line said.
I sat up in bed immediately.
"Are you serious?" I whispered in the phone, not wanting to wake Tom up.
"Yes Mrs. Holland. We will get you more information along with the script soon."
"Thank you so much." I said, hanging up the phone. I can't believe I'm going to have my own movie! I knew I had a contract for a few more movies but I just thought I would be making cameos, not getting my own movie. Being too excited, I got out of bed and went downstairs to the kitchen, getting a cup of coffee waiting for Tom to get up before making breakfast. Twenty minutes later, Tom was walking down the stairs in his pajama bottoms.
"Good morning love. I didn't know you were already awake." Tom said, coming up to hug me and give me a kiss.
"Yeah. I got a call this morning from Marvel and I couldn't go back to sleep so I came down here."
"What did they say?"
"Oh you know just that Wonder is getting her own movie!" I said excitingly.
"Are you serious love? That's amazing!" he said picking me up and spinning me around.
"I know. I don't know anything more. Just that I'm getting my own movie."
"Well I'm happy and excited for you. Young women need more strong, female superheroes and role models to look up to." Tom said.
"Yeah. I'm just so excited." I said.
"I'm am too but I'm starving so let's make breakfast."
Later on, I met up with Tyler to hang out.
"Long time no see baby sis." Tyler said, hugging me.
"I know bro. I've just been so busy with Tom and I buying a house, trying to get settled in, and work."
"How's that going?" Tyler asked, referring to my work as a professional photographer. I decided to take classes and get certified and I do that mostly now, with some acting on the side.
"It's going great. I'm glad I decided to go with photography. It's so much fun taking pictures and seeing them on websites and in publications."
"That's great. I miss having you around the house. It's not as fun and it's too quiet."
"I know I miss you too but at least we aren't far from each other."
"Yeah that's the good thing. Anyhow, how are you and Tom doing?"
"We're doing good. We're going to the fertility specialist tomorrow so we'll see how that goes. I'm really nervous about it. Tom and I really want kids and we're thinking about adoption but I would love to have at least one kid of our own. To experience pregnancy and having a child that Tom and I made. But even if we adopt, we'll love the child like our own but I just want to experience it." I said a little disappointed.
"Hey no matter what happens, you have me, Tom, Holland, Tyler H., both of the Dylan's, dad, and Tom's family supporting you. I know it's hard but in the end, I know you'll be happy whether you adopt or have your own kid."
"What would I do without you bro?" I asked, hugging Tyler.
"Who knows." He replied causing both of us to chuckle.
