"What do mean by sleeping arrangements?"
I question, finishing up my sandwich. John smirks wildly, "oh my dear, which one of us you're going to sleep with, of course." My eyes go wide as I turn red.George places his hand gently on my knee, "not that kind of sleeping with, unless..it's what you'd want." Somehow, my blush turns darker and I turn my face to the floor.
"Well, it's ________'s choice now, innit." Ritchie speaks, leaning back in his chair. Paul nods his head in agreement. A look quickly crosses John's face, but he continues, "I think it should be by chance. It's fair, right fellas?" George's thick eyebrows crease, "it her choice, John." I look up, giving each boy a long look. George and I have a very deep history...of course I'd want to choose him.
"It's fair to us." John indicated himself, Ritchie and Paul. I quirk an eyebrow, "what about George?" John scoffs, "yeah, you picked him the first time, and that's how you ended up marrying him to begin with!" Without thinking I blurt out, "I would love to marry him.." George grins and I slap my hands over my mouth, absolutely embarrassed.
Paul smirks and raises an eyebrow, "Well we know how the story is going to end up. Let's leave it to chance just for tonight? We'll all be together soon anyway..." I look at George, his face is blank, "I...suppose..as long as it's what she wants." Everyone turns to me, anticipating my answer.
"I, suppose that should be fine." I squeeze George's hand under the table. John claps, standing quickly, "good! How should we do this? Drawing straws? A name out of a hat? Who's got the best kiss?" Ritchie winks at me, "what'll it be, love?" I ponder for a while, then Paul interrupts my thoughts. "Why not just simply spin a bottle, and whoever it lands on is the lucky lad?"
I nod my head, "yeah that seems the most fair, there's no chance of anyone being, sneaky." I pointedly look at John. He smiles innocently and goes into the kitchen, coming back with an empty bottle. He sets it on the table looking at me expectantly.
I grab the bottle and lead them to the living room. "You lot sit around the table." They do so, a glimmer of hope in each of their eyes. I take a deep breath and lay the bottle on its side. Closing my eyes, I spin the bottle.
A few moments pass before the bottle settles onto its victim. No one says a word, so I open my eyes slowly. I look to the bottle, and the warm body it's pointing at: George. A huge grin breaks out across my face.
John looks annoyed, but speaks in a calm voice, "of course. Just remember Harrison, we switch off every night." With that he stands and heads off. Paul and Ritchie have small smiles on their faces.
"It was meant to be." Paul says and stands as well. Ritchie nods and stands, "fancy going for a drink then, Paul?" Paul nods and sends me a wink. "Don't have too much fun, kids!" Ritchie says as they head out.
George places his hand gently on the small of my back, softly breathing into my ear, "shall we head to bed then?" I feel a tightening in my lower abdomen, and whisper back, "please.."
