***George's POV***

Sleep was uneventful, and when I awoke in the morning _____ opened her eyes slightly.

A big smile spreads across my face, "mornin', love." I whisper, tracing my finger tenderly down her cheek.

She smiles weakly, tilting her head into my touch. "Hey, Geo.." her voice comes out raspy and small.

The sound of her voice, although broken and weak, lifts my heart.

"How are you feeling? Do you need anything?" I ask, gripping her hand.

"I'm..really thirsty...I feel kind of dizzy..." I lean down and kiss her dry lips, "don't worry, darling, I'll be right back."

I jump out of bed, quickly throwing a robe on and running down the steps. I get a glass of water and a straw, bounding back upstairs.

Paul looks at me as I enter, a happy grin plastered on his face. I sit on the edge of the bed, lowering the glass so the straw aligns with her lips.

She drinks the water slowly, closing her eyes. She drinks about half before she stops, "thanks, Geo...that feels much better...I'm" she yawns.

I kiss her gently, "get more rest, darling. We'll be right here, okay?" She nods and closes her eyes.

Paul and I lock eyes, grinning like a bunch of fools. Ringo enters the room, "hey, Mabel and Emma are here, and they said they need to speak with us all." "We'll be right down Rings." Paul says, slowly rising from the bed.

I go off to my room and put some real clothes on, as does Paul. When we're halfway decent we walk down to the living room to see what the visit was all about.

I take a seat next to John, waiting for Mabel to start speaking. She looks at all of us, a small smile playing on her lips, "it's been so long since I've seen you boys...how are you all?"

We all mumble a response, wanting to get down to the real talk. Her smile fades a bit, knowing we just want her to get on with whatever she's here for.

She clears her throat, "we came by to offer some help in getting _____ healed quickly. Emma told me she lost probably more than half of her blood..and the key to a good recovery is going to be sealing her wounds, which I assume you have done already. But, another key component is going to be, well, all of you."

John's eyebrows knit together, "what do you mean?"

"Well," She begins, "I saw her neck, back when George brought her to gather the things for the wards. You're all bonded with her, meaning you can help with her recovery."

"How so?" I ask, leaning forward. "It's going to sound strange, but trust me. I've learned quite a bit about the Psyche."

"Well get on with it then!" John says, a hint of irritation showing in his voice.

"Right, sorry." She says, "the best way is to have one of you with her at all times. The presence of you, plus the bond you share, will help her blood production, meaning her healing process will be much faster."

I jump from my seat, ready to run back upstairs where ______ is sleeping, but  Mabel stops me.

"What is your next plan of attack?" I sit back down, restlessly bouncing my leg, "to be honest, I'm not sure yet. But I know that ______ has to be a part of the planning, so I don't really care about thinking of anything until then."

The lads agree, and Emma speaks for the first time, "what did you mean in the car last night, George? When you said he was planning this?"

My mind flashes back to when we were escaping, seeing the smug grin on Samuel's face as he waved goodbye to us, as if we were just normal patrons at his party.

I feel my face twist into a pure rage, "that rat bastard....he had to have known we would find out somehow...otherwise he wouldn't pass up the opportunity to take her back and do god knows what...."

"Are you sure he wasn't doing it just to play with your head, George?" Ritchie asks gently.

I stay silent for a moment, "I'm...honestly not sure...just the look...and I guess it wasn't even him that attacked her..it was some bloke I didn't recognize.."

No one speaks for a moment, so I stand, "to be frank, I don't care about anything right now besides getting _____ healed. I'm going back up there and I'll lay there with her for a week if I've got to."

John stands, "I'm coming as well. The more of us, the faster she'll heal, right?" He looks at Mabel, eyebrows raised.

She ponders for a moment, "it would make sense, so it couldn't hurt. Just make sure you're getting her enough fluids, and make sure she eats something.."

I nod, "thanks for visiting. I'll call if we need any help. Thank you." And with that, John and I head back up to _____.
