***George's POV***

"Someone should go with her." John speaks tiredly, rubbing the bridge of his nose. He winces at the pain and rises to his feet.

I consider John's current state. Weak, injured, tired. He couldn't take on the four of us if I ask what made _______ so scared and it turns out she was right...

I feel guilty for saying what I did to her...but we can't solve the problem if we don't know what is causing it.... I'm glad she isn't here in case it gets ugly....

I block John from moving further and he gives me a look.

"D'you mind? I gotta take a piss, Hazza."

"Just one thing and I'll move." I say, looking him in the eyes.

He quirks an eyebrow at me, then crosses his arms. "Okay?"

"Did you do something, or say something to _______ that might have scared her? Are you hiding anything? Why did you make Samuel use those blood increasing drugs on her? Be serious with me John, she seemed like she was terrified of you..."

He looks genuinely confused, "what do you mean......?"

He looks at me with nothing but confusion in his eyes for a few long seconds.

A flash of fear crosses his features as he looks down. "I....I actually don't remember anything from the last few days. Everything after Emma...put in her IV....is a blank..."

He looks back up into my eyes, his widened in distress. "George, maybe I did...maybe I did say something...or do something...but I promise you, whatever was lurking is gone now...her blood would have healed that...in me, anyway...."

I frown, a bad feeling settling in the pit of my stomach. John's words are sincere, I've known the man long enough to be able to tell.

John's eyes suddenly widen, "Someone needs to go get _____. Right now." He says urgently, fear lacing his tone.

***Your POV***

I smile slightly when I see Emma.

She doesn't seem at all shocked to see me up, making me a bit suspicious.

"Is John with you?" She asks as she sits on the big boulder to remove her shoes.

"No...he isn't...why do you ask?" I turn and side eye her, wondering why she didn't ask about the others, raising my suspicions further that there really was something going on.

"He just seemed rather lonely...you've been giving so much attention to George lately....and I think it's taking it's toll on the others...."

I look down at the rippling water flowing past, glancing back up when Emma joins me in the water.

"John did mention to me, when I was setting up your IV, how much he loves you, and he wishes you'd spend more alone time with him...." she places her hands on my shoulders making me jump.

I feel unease slip through my veins as my heart beats faster.

This is the same feeling I got when I looked into John's eyes earlier...
