A Lost Kitty

Ch. 7 Bad Kitty

Marinette was looking at a piece of paper she had scribbled on, deep in thought. She knew what had happened to Cat Noir, his miraculous broke. She was wondering if it had any connection to Adrien. She remembered asking Cat about him and he seemed to know, but she wondered if Cat Noir actually knew. They did disappear on the same day, but what connection could they have with each other?

Marinette looked over to Cat. He was sound asleep. she would be surprised if he wasn't, it was the middle of the night and cat do like their sleep. A part of her wished she could be sleeping like Cat was, but there was too much on her mind. She was glad that there was no school tomorrow. her eyes kept drifting back to Cat. She'd hate to admit it, but Cat looked adorable. she carefully walked over to him. He was curled up in a ball. She stroked his head. Cat seemed to lean into her touch and began to purr.

Marinette's cheeks began to heat up. Sure, he was a cat right now, but this was still Cat Noir. But when he was a Cat, he was so adorable. He wasn't making any puns or was being flirty, he was just... an adorable kitty cat, but those things were what made Cat Noir, well Cat Noir, and she missed seeing him.

"He's a cute kitty isn't he," Marinette whispered to Tikki.

"He is indeed," Tikki said.

Marinette sighed.

"As adorable as he is, I... miss him," Marinette said.

"I know Marinette, but you have to think positive. He'll be back to normal before you know it," Tikki encouraged.

"I hope so," Marinette said.

Marinette leaned in and kissed Cat's forehead.

"I'll fix this, I promise,"  She whispered.

She then headed to her bed.

"Goodnight Cat," She said.

Adrien didn't know what to do. He was fast asleep when he felt gentle hands stroke his head. He was half asleep so he wasn't really thinking, but all he was thinking at the time was he enjoyed her touched and began to uncontrollably purr.He was still groggy but he could fairly hear her taking to someone.

"As adorable as he is, I... miss him" she heard him say.

Who was she talking about? Was she talking about him? Who was she talking to?

He then felt Marinette's soft lips kiss his forehead.

"I'll fix this, I promise," He heard her whisper.

"Goodnight Cat," he heard her say.

'Goodnight Marinette' Adrien said.

The next morning, Adrien woke up and saw Marinette was still asleep.

'Adrien, go wake her up, I'm hungry,' Plagg said.

"Plagg, are you insane?! I'm not going to wake Mari up just to feed you," Adrien said

"Keep in mind we share the same body, so you are just as hungry as I am," Plagg said.

"Even so, I'm not going to wake her up for your stomach," Adrien said

Plagg groaned.

"Are you just saying that cause you had a special moment with her last night?"Plagg asked.

"that has nothing to do with this," Adrien argued back.

At that moment, Marinette woke up. She yawned and then opened her eyes. She saw Cat looking at her and smiled.

"Good morning Cat," she said.

'Good morning," Adrien said, but it came out as a meow.

Marinette went downstairs and got him another croissant with ham and cheese.
