I open my eyes to find that I am still on the cruise ship. Jack lies there fast asleep beside me and the sun shines through the unopened curtains.
On the decks outside, you can hear activity councilors announcing the upcoming activities and times they are scheduled for. I glance over at the alarm clock that sits on the desk across from the bed. It reads 8:30. I suppose it’s time to get up and get ready for the last day of this Hawaiian cruise. Tomorrow, we will arrive back in Hawaii and will be forced to return to our normal lives and normal jobs.
I wish this cruise would last forever, I thought to myself.
I slowly climb out of bed, trying not to disturb Jack and as I begin to look through my clothes, I hear movement behind me.
"Well, you’re up early!" I mention as Jack tiredly gets out of bed.
"I suppose this is the earliest I have gotten up this whole cruise" he says as he walks to the bathroom.
I chuckle a little and begin to get dressed. I put on my favourite blue bikini and throw on a charcoal hodddie overtop.
Jack brushes his longish blonde hair out of his eyes and smiles at me as he walks out of the bathroom wearing his dark green swimtrunks.
"So?" he says quietly, "What’s the plan for today?"
"I was thinking that we could just relax at the pool for most of the day and do some of the activities we haven’t done yet for the rest?"
"Sounds good to me" he laughs.
