The moment Jack and I stepped out of our bedroom doors, we realized that we were the only ones in the hallway. Usually the halls were filled with tons of noisy children and it would take alot of effort to make our way down to the dining hall. Not today I guess.
"Everyone must be outside by the pool or something" Jack gave me a reassuring look.
We hurried down the corridor and into the dining hall, there wasn't a person in sight. Knowing how worried I get when I dont know whats going on, Jack tells me that everything is fine and that nothing happened and nothing is going to happen.
As soon as we reach the main deck, I notice that the sky is dark. The sun is behind the black clouds and the wind is strong enough to knock a person over.
One of the ship employees approach us and explain whats going on. Bridgitte, as her name tag reads, tells us that the wind is too strong for passengers to be out on the deck and the storm is said to grow more and more and could be dangerous at sea.
"We sent all passengers back to their rooms and down to the activities hall so nobody would be on the deck but there have been a few people, like you who didnt know what was going on" she continued to explain.
We hurry back to our room, desperate to get out of the cold, and plop down in our room.
"So much for a fun, last day of the cruise" I say with a sigh.
"Don't worry Katie, we can still have a fun day without being outside!" He says as he grabs my hand and pulls me out the door.
As we approach the activity hall doors, the noise of the other passengers grows louder and louder. Jack and I, push through the doors and begin to weave our way through the people.
Looking for the nearest empty area, we find ourselves trapped in an endless room of people. There must have been at least 13,000 somewhat people on the cruise and to pile them all into one room was insane!
Then all of a sudden, we find ourselves in the dark.
