Chapter Thirteen

Dakota POV

I woke up and looked around oh yeah I was with Melisa. I got up and opened her room and she's still sleeping. I closed it but I went to the kitchen and made breakfast for her.

I saw her and her eyes were red. I said "Good morning Mels I made pancakes". She said "Thanks". We sat down and ate but I still noticed her sadness.

I said "We should do something that you want". She said "Thank you Dakota but I'll like to be alone for now". I said "No because I want to stay with you".

She said "Please go I need my space". What the heck Melisa. I said "No I'm not going to give up that easily". She looked at me but my phone rang.

I looked at it and it was Jason. Fuck fuck fuck I have to leave. I went to the restroom and called him but he was yelling at me.

As he hung up and I went to the kitchen but she wasn't their. I went to her room and she was sitting on the bed crying.

I didn't bother her but I did have to leave. She looked back and saw me I said "My boss called me I have to go but I'll be back I promise". I kissed her forehead and she weakly smiled at me.

I left and went to work but it was bitch mostly traffic but my phone going on. I couldn't really see it because I don't text or call while driving.

As I got to work and saw Jason looking pissed but I didn't told him about Melisa. I saw how Sydney was next to him and making calls.

I took pictures of the models and saw Kendall but I didn't wave at her mostly because I was working and she was busy.

8 hours later

Finally I was done for the day and I saw Morgan's text and she wanted to hangout but I can't I have to be with Melisa.

I texted her and told her everything basically the truth with Melisa. She understood and I was relieved. (Tigger Warnings ⚠️⚠️⚠️)

I went back to her house. I knocked on her door and no answer. I twisted the door knob and I called out.

No answer and I thought the restroom. She was in the tub and her wrist was cut. I pulled out my phone and called 911. They answered and I told them everything.

They said their going to here in 2 minuets. I checked her pulse it was beating but slowly. I grabbed her and hugged her. I cried for her but I knew nothing is going to change if I cry for her.

I saw the knife outside the tub. She had 5 cuts on each and they looked deep. 2 minuets passed and I still checked her pulse. I saw the paramedics and they told to stay away. I gave her my big jacket to cover her up.

-2 hours later-

As I was at the hospital waiting for the doctor to tell me. I saw him and he said "She's going to recover so please tell me what happened". I said "Well her dad died and I knew she was depressed but I didn't know that she would do this".

He said "Okay thank you for telling me but for now she's resting". I nodded at him and he left. I decided to go to her room and sit in a chair and try to take care of her.

-The Next Day-

I woke up quickly and saw her sleeping. I decided to go to StarBucks and get something for her.

As I was their and order the coffee and breakfast. I saw Morgan, Ryland, and Andrew doing a video.

I didn't want to be rude. As quickly I wanted my coffee I heard my name and it was a women with my coffee and food.

Morgan saw me and she walked towards me. Fuck fuck fuck what do I do. She said "Hey Dakota". She looked gorgeous but I said "Hey Morgan". God damn I'm so awkward. Until I heard "Oh my god Hey Dakota".

I saw Ashely and Lily and I didn't even say hey or hello. Morgan saw my face and said "Sorry girls she has to be with me". Ashely said "Oh okay chubby and fatso belong together". They were laughing.

Something inside me snapped not because what Ashely said but what she said to Morgan. I said "If y'all would kindly FUCK OFF".

They looked at me and smirked. Lily said "So what your still the same loser Dakota". I said "Maybe but you don't make fun of SOMEONE I CARE ABOUT".

At to that point I was getting pissed off and I didn't care if people were staring at us. Shane, Ryland and Andrew were walking towards us.

I said "Leave before your ugly face gets uglier". I was clenching my fist and I think Morgan saw it because she grabbed her hand and touched my arm.

They left and I unclenched it. I said "Sorry if you have to see that". She said "Who were they". I said "Someone from my past that I want to forget".

Ryland came but ran to Morgan and was concern about her. Shane told us if everything was okay. I told him yep. I got my coffee and food and waved them goodbye.

As I got to the hospital and went to her room. The doctor looked at me and said "She's going to be fine so please tell us if theirs more trouble".

I nodded at him and went to her room. She stood up and saw me. She was crying and I put the stuff in the table.

I said "I'm glad your safe". She said "Why did you do it". I said "If you mean save you well because I care about you".

She said "Why do you care about me. I have nothing to live for anymore. My mom left me when I was young. My ex-fiancé cheated on me and left me at the alter. To top all of that my dad died so please do think you understand".

I said "I do". She said "How DAKOTA YOU PROBABLY HAD A PERFECT LIFE". I said "I didn't my mom's side dishonor her. My sister abused me for years and I was scared of her.

But she died and she still was my sister a living family member.

My mom died of cancer and she left with my grandpa but he died and had nobody so I did everything by myself".

She said "What about your father". I said "I don't know but they never looked for us plus it's late he could at least find us so I guess he doesn't care".

She said "I'm sorry I guess I was wrong about you Dakota". I said "How so". She said "Well when we meet I thought you were just a fun outgoing person without a problem".

I said "I tried my best to hide my feelings well mostly my depression". We talked for hours but I did have to leave because one Angel but I want to take a shower.

As I got home but they are letting her stay for another day just in case. I did everything with Angel and took a shower.

I'm glad I went back to her house and found her in the tub. I don't want to loose somebody else because what that person did. I changed into my pjs and drifted off to sleep.
