Chapter Fourteen

Dakota POV One week later

For the most days I've been helping Melisa get better I guess. I have been working as well but lately it's been boring.

As soon I was done working I decided to help out Morgan move out from Shane and Ryland. At least I'm helping someone.

We talked about anything but made jokes. I really do like her company. I was helping with her with picture frames.

She had to do a video but I kinda left because it feels weird I guess. Melisa texted me.

I texted her back. She wanted to hang out and I smiled at that.

We went to a party so I stayed with her but I really hated parties. She went to her friends but I stayed close to her just because I don't want to see her get hurt.

I knew she was drunk and went to go dance. I just watched her but a guy was talking to her that's my cue.

He said "Come on babe I can treat you right". He was about to grab her shoulder.

I grabbed his and said "If you don't leave I'll teach some manners". He scoffed and left. I grabbed her hand and left the house.

I took her home and stayed with her but left later.

I got home and took care of Angel. But something felt off and I had to do something that would make this go away.

I called the one person that I trusted from the beginning. It was Kendall gosh I haven't talked to her for awhile.

She finally answered and I told her if I can hangout with her. She told me yes. I went to her house and went on my motorcycle.

As I got to her house and knocked on the door. I saw her and I hugged her and she hugged me back I like this a lot.

I said "I need someone to talk". She said "So what's up". She let me in and I sat down on her couch.

I said "Listen I'm sorry if I haven't talk to you it just drama and need to get away from it for awhile". She said "What's been going on".

I said "Well my friend almost committed suicide but I helped her for one week because her dad died".

She had this sad look and I said "Also I don't know what do with Melisa because I want to help her but she doesn't want help".

She said "Have you talked to her". I said "Of course but she always says that she needs space but if I do then she'll try to kill her self".

We continued to talk about everything that has been going on. I went home when I was done talking to Ken.

As I got home and I got text from Morgan she seemed scared. I texted her that I'll be on my way.

-20 minuets later-

As I got to the apartment and knocked on the door and she answered.

She let me in and I said "What happened". She said "Sorry if I was needy but I'm scared to be alone".

I said "You weren't but why are you scared". She said "Because maybe of the ghosts". I said "So you want me to stay with you". She nodded and she lead me to her room.

I forgot how many stairs are at this apartment and I was kinda tired. She had the room pretty even though it wasn't completed.

She had her pjs and I was still in my clothes but it didn't really matter to me. She made room and I laid with her. She was cuddling and I liked it.

Eventually she slept and I slept as well.
