At exactly 5:00 A.M. a girl was covered in sweat. She was constantly thrashing around as if someone had leashed a poison in her throat and she can't rest.
Flames.
Flames reached the hems of her dress.
There were people standing just a couple few feet away from her.
Shielding themselves from her.
Disappointment flashing bright in their eyes, like warriors on the day of war.
There was an aura of fire covering over her.
She was getting burnt.
"Someone help me!"
Whispers reached her ears like a song of death in the air.
"Disappointment."
"Disgrace!"
"Ungrateful, untalented..."
And then the fire consumed her with a gasp.
The girl woke up with a heavy exhale of air and sat in bed.
She goes to the bathroom, a journey feeling like to the centre of an endless galaxy.
She felt heavy as she slipped her feet in the slippers.
Her heart felt heavy.
She looked up and her eyes met with none other than her own in the mirror.
Her hand traveled up to her cheek and her eyes filled with tears.
"How more ugly can I be?"
Her parent's words echoed in her ears.
"A disgrace! A fool! What did we do to deserve a daughter like you?"
Her hands grasped the sink.
I am a disappointment. I am a disgrace.
I am merely a whisper lost in a soundless phase.
I am an endless pit of darkness, I have no face.
I am a fool, I have no place,
Among others and myself,
Truly I have got no space.
A/N: If you feel like you are a disappointment... Then maybe you are. But it's not only you. Everybody can disappoint.
But it was not you who asked them to pile mountains of expectations on your head?
Don't ever feel like that. You are special and beautiful in your own way. You are amazing. You are amazing, I repeat!
