Ground Zero-Katsuki x reader

The driver

You watched the ambulance drive away with Teri's parents. They came right after they got a call from the authorities. Sushi was frustrated with the situation and he was very stressed.

You rubbed circles on his back in a circular motion. There were red streaks on his face due to the tears.

"He's gonna be alright Sushi." You comforted  him. A few tears managed to leave your eyes knowing how close you used to be.

Never once in your life had you seen Sushi cry. Seeing him cry today was really weird and an awkward situation because you didn't know how to react.

"It hurts you know? He was like my brother" Sushi mourned. You only rubbed his back knowing you were hurt too. Katsuki was rubbing circles on the back of you free hand.

"SUSHI!" Katsuki yelled suddenly frightening everyone around you.

"YOUR QUIRK... WHATS THE LICENCE PLATE" Katsuki added. Immediately you looked at Sushi with hopeful eyes.

"The licen- THE LICENSE PLATE... AKJR 146! IT WAS A GREY 2014 HONDA CIVIC WITH A LARGE SCRATCH ON THE DOOR." He jumped up with enthusiasm. He gripped the end of his sleeve and wiped his tears with the back of his hand.

You approached the police officer and began to speak.

"We have information about the driver." You began to speak.

"What is it?" She asked you with curiosity behind a stern face.

"The drivers license plate." You spoke. That immediately peaked her interest.

"How do you know it's the right license plate." She asked.

"My friend over there" you pointed to Sushi. "His quirk is photographic memory. Everyone has photographic memory, but he can reach into his subconscious and remember what it is" You replied.

"And what's the license plate?" She asked while pulling out a small notebook and a pen to begin writing.

"AKJR 146. It was a grey Honda Civic with a scratch on the passenger side door." You mentioned. She nodded and wrote in her notebook.

"Thank you hun. And sorry about your friend. We're going to take action immediately." She patted your shoulder and walked off to inform the officers of your information.

You went to the hospital with everyone to check on Teri. You were waiting outside on a seat gripping your pants.

Katsuki put his hand onto of yours and rubbed soothing circles on the back of your hand. You looked up to him and looked back down.

Sushi was still hurt from all of this. You were waiting for a phone call from the police with the information about who was driving the car. Given the fact that you already had all the information, you thought it would be fairly easy.

The door opened and the nurse gestured for you all to come in. Inside was Teri's parents already seated, stroking his hair.

You sat down by the bed and looked down at him.

"Hows he doing?" You asked after turning to look at his parents.

His mom mustered up a slight smile with all her strength before replying. "He's going to be fine." She weakly said. Teri was sleeping and hadn't woken up yet.

Suddenly, Sushi's phone rang and he quickly grabbed it from his pocket before dropping it due to nervousness.

He picked it up and rushed out of the room. You looked outside of the door anticipating new information. Just then he hung up and walked in.

He was shocked. He could barely look up to face you. He finally said

"The driver was..."

"Mr. and Mrs. (L/N)."
