Slowly but steadily Lucifer opens his eyes, his vision shaking and blurring. The Fall disoriented him, how long was he out? That didn't matter, he needed to know where he was.
His blurry vision had cleared up and he glanced around, he was at the bottom of what appeared to be a large crater of charred land. He groggily climbed out of the crater and before him was a vast array of beautiful colorful trees, rocks and flowers, a view that made him reminiscent of Paradise.

He immediately knew where he was, this was his Father's Garden, the Garden of the Lord, the Garden of Eden. He had been here a few times before his Fall, he had also befriended Adamah, or Adam as Lucifer calls him, whom God had given dominion of Eden to.

"ShemuEl?" A sensual baritone voice said behind him. ShemuEl meaning God Hears was a name only one person called him, Lucifer spun around to see a man cloaked in divinity, a divinity that shone even more purely than that of any angel he had ever seen. His feet were bare but showed no sign of weariness, the light he radiated was as a garment upon his form, the skin of his face was perfect with no wrinkle or spot to be found, his bright blue eyes were as pure as the sky itself, untold power and authority could be sensed from within them along with immense humility and each strand of his golden hair shimmered like water against sunlight, this man was perfect in every sense of the word.

"ShemuEl, my friend, what happened? You look beat up. Is everything alright?" The man continued to speak

"I... It's nothing... Everything is fine Adamah" Lucifer said holding onto his head, still wearily looking around

"You never call me Adamah, Lucifer" The man said as he walked towards Lucifer "And you never call me Lucifer" Lucifer scoffed

He stood before Lucifer and they stared at each other for a few seconds before Adamah smiled and opened up his arms for an embrace.

Lucifer looked around, sighed and shrugged before spreading his own arms and hugging Adamah, the sweet aroma of dozens of flowers and a hint of earth filled his nose.

"How long has it been since I last saw you ShemuEl? 200 dawns? Maybe 300?" He said as he slowly let go of Lucifer and walked past him to the large crater.

"I have no idea. Unlike down here, there is no way of telling time up there in Shamayim" He replied as he finally broke into a small smile "I have missed you Adam"

Adamah went down on one knee before the crater and ran his fingers along it's edges. As he did that, grasses and flowers of diverse colors suddenly erupted out of what was once blackened soil and turned the crater into a beautiful flowery ditch. Adamah turned and his smile brightened even more as he heard Lucifer address him as Adam, a friendly nickname given to him by Lucifer. "And so have I my friend. Come, let us sit and talk" Adam said, walking past Lucifer again.

They walked through the lush greenery of the garden, the soil of which was soft due to the abundance of grasses and flowers. As they strolled through, they would occasionally come across animals, and each time they did, the animals would cease whatever they were doing and bow their heads to Adam, who in return would smile and give them a light nod.

After what seemed like hours of walking, they arrived at an open area with a massive crystal clear river that connected into little streams. There was a large log of wood beside the riverbed. Along the riverbed and within it were crystalline stones that sparkled like stars. A soft but steady wind current blew across the calm surface of the river, carrying with it a coolness that caressed Lucifer's face. The air was fresh, no, fresh was an understatement. The air here was pure, almost as though one was inhaling the very essence of life itself.

"The Perat River. No matter how many times I gaze upon it, it's beauty never ceases to astound me." Lucifer said as he took a deep breath, filling his lungs with the pleasant atmosphere

"It is indeed a wonder to behold everyday, and also, I have chosen to no longer call it the Perat River." Adam said with his hand on his chin, staring into the horizon. "I want to call it the Euphrates River from now on."

Lucifer turned to Adam and asked, "Any particular reason?"

Adam simply closed his eyes and smiled, "None whatsoever, I just felt like giving it a new name"

Lucifer sighed and smiled
"Like with the animals?"

"Yes ShemuEl, like with the animals" Adam responded with a chuckle.

They walked up to the log, sat on it, and silently stared into the horizon. Five minutes had passed before Adam turned to Lucifer, "ShemuEl, my friend... I know something happened, but I cannot tell exactly what it is. It is not like you to crash recklessly into the Garden. I would like you to share with me what troubles you."

"It... It is not as easy to speak off as you think, my friend" Lucifer said, wrapping his fingers around one another. Adam however said nothing and continued to look at Lucifer, it was almost as though his expression said, It does not matter what it is, you can tell me anything

Lucifer sighed and said, "I'm sorry my friend, but this is not something I wish to discuss" as he stood up and walked away

Adam simple sat and watched him walk towards the direction from whence they had come. Once Lucifer was out of sight, Adam heaved a sigh and looked back at the now Euphrates river. He picked up a rock and skipped it across the mirror-like surface of the river, he heaved another sigh before mumbling

"What is troubling you Lucifer, and why won't you tell me"
