*Liz's POV*
The school dance was happened every year and it was the most anticipated time of the school year. It was happening in a week and my friends and I volunteered to do the decorations this year and I invited Erika to join us.
I watched her from across the room where she was blowing up balloons with Candice and she looked genuinely happy.
We had grown so close in the past few weeks and I noticed she smiled so much these days.she had a sense of humor I never knew existed. She made my heart skip anytime she laughed and she had this adorable face she made when she's making a drawing or solving a math problem. She was so smart which is something I never admitted about any person other than myself. I was developing strong feelings for her but I couldn't do anything to ruin our new founded amazing friendship.
"So are you going to stare at her all day or actually do some work" Angelique said ,we were putting up ribbons but I guess I had zoned off a bit leaving most to her.
"What who?" I asked feigning ignorance
"You know who, what's the deal with her anyways?"
"Oh its nothing Angie we just hang out a lot that's all" I said feeling a blush creeping up my neck
"We've been friends for ages Liz,I know its something more" she said teasing me
"Fine I like her" I said blushing hard now
"Oh you do huh" she said laughing
"Shhhhh" I said trying to get her to shut up
"Does she know? Should I tell her?"
"I swear Angie I'll kill you if u do" I said laughing
"How about Susan though?" She asked getting serious
"Yeah?,what about her"
"You know she has always been into you"
"I'm not into her! I've never been...Fuck it was just a one time thing"
"Well does she know that?"
"Of course she does I tell her all the time"
"Okay okay if u say so......let's round up quickly we're far behind"
We continued to work in silence but my mind kept wandering to what we discussed.
*Erika's POV*
Decorating the hall was more fun than i expected. Liz's friends were so cool and fun to be with. They were the first people I had hung out with genuinely in a long time and it felt good.I even think they liked me too.
Liz was so different though.she was so lively and spontaneous. Her laughter was as crazy as she was and it made me laugh too.weird enough she found me funny. She always laughed at my dry attempt at humour. We hung out a lot and never got tired of talking.we were complete opposites yet we talked about everything.
She and Angelique were walking towards us. We weren't done yet but they were.
As they were getting closer I suddenly felt really anxious and my palms were sweaty. I had this reaction when she was close by these days and I had no idea why.
She smiled at me as Angelique teased us about being slow and they let helped us round up.
We held hands on our way back to our dorms and if she noticed I was nervous she made no indication of it.
"How about you come hang out with me in my room this night" she said when we got to our dorm
I was stunned
"You don't have to" she added quickly I have chess though?
"Of course I would,lemme go change"
She was setting up a small chess board when I got there.
"Here you are" she said smiling.
"I'm so hot" she added. She actually looked flushed and I figured it was cos of the walk to the dorm.
"Of course you're hot" I said awkwardly
"Ugh I don't mean hot like I'm sexy, although I know I am,I meant hot like the weather" she said
"I know I was only kidding" I said feeling lame for my dry joke
"So shall we start" she said breaking this awkward moment
We played not up to 20 minutes and she won me.she was so happy and was laughing like a kid.
"Awe don't cry" she said teasing me. She put her hand on my cheeks and left it there a bit long.
Then suddenly out of the blues she pulled off her shirt and her boobs were literally in my face. I was thrown off by the suddenness but I couldn't keep my eyes off them.My heart felt like it was going to jump out of my chest. It was weird cos I've seen most of my roommates but I've never had this reaction. I felt a stirring in my abdomen and I suddenly felt suffocated.
"Umm I gotta go" I said faking a smile
I almost ran all the way back to my room.
