Uh maybe slight arguments? Nothing serious.

Scrolling through Tumblr was a normal occurrence for Dan. Most of the time that's all he'd do during the day. He'd wake up, go get breakfast, get himself a cup of coffee then situate his body comfortably on the couch.

Phil going out to the store or just for a walk wasn't rare either. Dan never really thought twice when he woke up and Phil had left. He always left a note or messaged Dan before he left, alerting him of his absence so Dan wouldn't worry. Though what was there to worry about? Phil was a grown man, capable of taking care of himself. Okay, maybe not so much sometimes. He was a pretty big man-child normally.

Although recently Dan had been silently wishing Phil would wait until he woke up. Maybe invite him to go, or at least eat breakfast together. Having Phil around made Dan's heart fill with happiness that he couldn't quite explain. Probably just because they were best friends. That's all.

Dan also was used to his posts. His heart seemed to not be though when it happened to be a selfie. Phil's selfies gave him breathing issues, which he couldn't really explain either. So Dan had tried to ignore them.

When Phil was out, he'd often post things on Twitter or Instagram just about his adventures. Typical Phil. He'd experience an animal encounter or some weird person. Phil seemed to attract a lot of those.

When Phil's name popped up on Dans feed, he didn't think much of it. Simply liking the post and not giving it much of a glance. Phil would tell him about it when he got home so he wasn't too focused on the social media aspect.

Dan sipped his coffee, scrolling through comments and posts people had tagged him in. The house was quiet without Phil, occupied only with the soft murmur of whatever show was playing on the TV currently, and the sound of Dan sipping his drink.

His phone happened to buzz, letting out a loud 'PING' into the room, startling Dan. He reached over to the coffee table, picking up the electronic and looking to see who had texted him. Seeing Phil's name, he smiled and opened his phone going to read the text.

Hey Dan, how mad would you be if I told you I'm bringing a new friend over today?

Dan was slightly confused; normally Phil would alert him before now.

Not really. I mean, I wish you would have told me before hand. What's the occasion?

The dots popped up, indicating Phil was typing his reply. Dan continued scrolling, stopping to see when his phone dinged again.

Well.. we sorda ran into each other. It was sudden for me as well. I'll be home in about 15 minutes, see you soon.

Dans eyebrows furred. Who was this person Phil ran into? And why was it such a deal that Phil had to bring them home? Phil had been gone all morning and then when he got home Dan wouldn't be able to have time with him still because he'd have a new friend with him?

Dan sighed. What had gotten into him lately? Why was his heart twisting so much with the thought of Phil, making him feel tingly and happy when they were together but saddened and depressed when they were apart? What was it that made him unable to look at Phil's posts of selfies without having breathing issues? Dan didn't understand.

He decided he'd just wait for them to get here to find out who this new person that was receiving his best friend's attention was. Besides, they didn't have any plans for today. So he supposed it wasn't a big deal.

It was a big deal. It was a very, very big deal.

Phil stood in the doorway, smiling innocently at Dan. Dans mouth was agape, watching as this large black lab bounced around the house.
