party culture

I was a freshman in college,
Autumnal leaves were ruffled on the floor,
He was trying so hard to fit in even more than he did before.
When the time came for him to prove himself,
He took a pill that brought him close to death.
His mind was infiltrated by lies,
The pills wanted him to die.

Party culture brought us back together,
But I don't think I can do this much longer.
People are risking their lives,
Just to waste away their night,
Necking a bottle, or six,
Stumbling down the dim avenue,
Sleeping in their own sick.
This is hard but true,
Party culture is so detrimental to you.

First week on campus,
I saw how brainwashed were the masses.
"Let's just blind ourselves with poison",
The devil made them the chosen.
There's a glasses wearing kid sitting in the back of the class,
He's never been a party boy, he just wants his friends to last.
This is an anthem for all of the homebodies,
Who have sleepless nights,
Worried about their friends mights.

Party culture brought us back together,
But I don't think I can do this much longer.
People are risking their lives,
Just to waste away their night,
Necking a bottle, or six,
Stumbling down the dim avenue,
Sleeping in their own sick.
This is hard but true,
Party culture is so detrimental to you.

Go out tonight and forget your woes,
But don't forget to come back home.
Have the time of your life,
Don't let yourself miss out on the first time,
The time first your little cousin comes to you for advice,
Or the first time your kid comes home with lice.
Be sensible, for all of our sakes,
Be responsible, don't lose the stakes.

Party culture brought us back together,
But I don't think I can do this much longer.
People are risking their lives,
Just to waste away their night,
Necking a bottle, or six,
Stumbling down the dim avenue,
Sleeping in their own sick.
This is hard but true,
Party culture is so detrimental to you.
