Labor Day

Miranda's pov

"Come on honey we're going to be late." I hear called up to me. We got back home for a week long break in the tour for the doctor's appointment. We get to see the gender today. Then it's back out on tour. "I'm coming!" I call, looking at myself in the mirror. I rest my hands on my stomach. "Babe, you okay?" I hear my husband's voice in the doorway. I look up through the mirror at him and the dam breaks.

Jason's pov

She busts out crying and I rush over confused. "Baby, what's wrong?" I gasp, resting my hands on her hands. "I.... I'm sorry. It's hormones. I don't know why I started crying." She gasps, burying her face in my shirt. I hug her tight. "It's okay, baby, I'm not mad." "I feel like such an idiot. Crying for no reason." I kiss her head. "That's what pregnancy is, darlin'. You'll cry over nothing, eat a shit ton of weird stuff, but when our baby gets here, it'll all be worth it." She looks up. "Sorry." "Don't be." I say, resting my hands on her cheeks and kissing her lips. "I love you." "Love you too." I say smiling. We go to the OGBYN for the check up and then it's time for the ultrasound. "Oh my gosh, look at that cute little baby." Miranda whispers. The doctor moves the thing around and my body freezes when I see....... 2. "Oh you are pregnant with twins." She says. My shocked wife looks up at me. "Two." She shakily says. I didn't think I was ready last week.... But I know without a shadow of a doubt that those babies, both those babies, mean the world to me. "I can't wait til they get here." I say holding her hand. "Oh Jason!" She cries hugging me. I laugh slightly and hug her tight. The doctor laughs too. "Now let's see genders." I can't really tell, just by looking. "One's a girl. Oh the other one is a little stubborn, I can't really tell." The doctor mumbles. I hold my girl's hand the whole time.  "Ah there it is, a little boy. You're having a boy and a girl! Congratulations!" I smile and shake her hand. "Thanks ma'am!" I help her up. "No wonder I felt bigger than I oughta be. I thought it was just my hormones making me think I was fat." I hug her. "You're so sweet." I say kissing her head. "I'm gonna call Luke." I say dialing his number. Before I even say hello, I hear an in pain scream and Luke say, "Get to the hospital, Sierra's gone into labor!" My heart starts pounding out of my chest. "On my way, man!" I yank the wheel and tell Miranda. We get there pretty damn quick. I'm nervous. About twenty minutes later, Luke walks out, breathless. "Everything okay?" I ask. "She's still in labor. Now that the doctor has given her some pain meds, she's doing better." He says, looking really scared. "Got any names picked out?" "Jackson Max Bryan." Luke says proudly. "Oh I hope Sierra is doing okay." Miranda says, worried, beside me. "You go back there and I'll stay out here for a little bit." "Ok. Thanks." She kissed my cheek. "Tell Luke the awesome news." She says, smiling. I smile and wave. "What news?" "Twins." I shakily say, suddenly nervous again. "Twins!?" He gasps shocked. I nod. "A boy and a baby girl." I whisper, thinking of my sister. "Wow." He says sitting beside me. "You alright?" "Just a little shocked... I guess. Not to mention.... I keep thinking of Kasi." He sighs. "You sure it won't hurt naming her after your sister?" "I.... I don't know... I thought I could take it but now I'm worried it'll upset me every time I say my daughter's name." "You should talk to Miranda about that." I nod. I'll tell her when we go home.

Miranda's pov

I tell Sierra about us having twins. "Oh my gosh! That's amazing! What does Jason think?" "At first he was a little worried thinking we weren't ready. Now he can't wait for them to get here." I hug her. "I'm worried about you sis." "I'm okay." She says. "This has to happen for little Jack to get here." She says rubbing her tummy. "I can't wait for Jack to get here." I say, smiling. I can't wait for our babies even more.
