Home is a place where you should feel safe and secure. Where you can go to get away from all the stuff going on in your life. Where everything is always happy and you have people who are there for you no matter what.

Those people would be parents. My father, a lawyer, and my other father a stay at home dad. Most people would judge me for having gay parents, it's not perfection. But to me it is wonderful coming home, seeing my fathers hug and kiss and enjoy me and my sibling's company.

The best part about my home though is the fact that my siblings, Nathan and Zoey were once foster kids. We took them in when they were two and fell in love. Four years later here we are with my two adopted little siblings.

Me, well I was a product of my dad's previous marriage along with my brother. My mom passed when I was born so it doesn't bother me as much as it would if I knew her. And my brother was only one so he doesn't remember her.

I head up the stairs to my room and am unpacking my school bag when I hear a knock at the front door.

I'm the only one home so I answer the door to see my brothers friend Mason looking at me.

Two years ago Mason moved away to go to a private school, he and I were really close when I was in junior high.

"Is Addy home?" He says looking around.

How can he not remember me?!

"You're speaking to her,"

"Oh shit, wow," He says picking me up in a hug.

"What are you doing here?! I thought you were still at school taking summer classes?!" I say ecstatic.

"I got off early and don't start for another week," he says grinning.

I punch him on the shoulder and he flinches in pain, "shit Adds, what was that for?!"

"For leaving," I say smiling. We hug again and it feels so great to see him.

"Is your dad home?"

"Which one?" I say with a chuckle.

"Dad A." He says.

Dad A is what I call my biological dad because he came first. I call my other dad B because his name is Brandon.

"No why?"

"I just have to talk to him about something. Well I got some family stuff to do, tell your dad to expect a call from me." He says as he heads down the sidewalk to his truck.

I roll my eyes and go start on my home work.

That night at dinner everyone was home for the first time. We all gathered around the dining room table and we ate a grand meal Dad B prepared. Towards the end when people were going for desert my Dads join hands and stand up.

"Kids, we have something to announce and I want you all to be open-minded about the situation."

All four of us nod for them to carry on, "I talked to Mason today and he's in a bit of a bind with his brother. His brother is about to go into the system because their father cant take care of them, and Mason is scared he won't see his brother or his brother won't be safe, therefore, he wants us to foster him." My dad says likes he's scared of the reaction.

My older brothers face goes without emotion while my little siblings look ecstatic.

"How old is he? Whys he going into the system? Would he be our brother? Where would he sleep?" And so the kids babble on with questions.

"All we know is that we don't mind saying yes as long as you guys are okay with it," Dad B says, making eye contact with each and everyone of us.

Nathan and Zoey say yes so enthusiastically it was as if they were bobble heads. My older brother Tyler on the other hand looked the exact opposite.

"I don't think we should, do you know how bad he is? He never listens. He is always acting out, I don't think he's someone we should bring into our home."

"Ty, don't be so quick to judge. And we know how to deal with teenagers, we were once ones and we have two of our own." Dad B says.

"Fine but when this all blows up in your face know that I was right." Tyler spits put as he storms off upstairs.

"So that's a yes from the twins, an angry yes from the oldest, what about ypu Addy?" Dad A says looking at me.

"I choose yes."
