Anna

"Smack, smack."

My dry, funny- tasting mouth smacked once, twice, three times. I stre-etched as Maid Ara from down the hall called me.

"Princess Anna, it's time to wake up! You have a vis-it-or!" Knowing she was right, I groggily opened my eyes, crusty from my long Snow- White style sleep. Ugh. I didn't want to get up. Who cared about a stupid guest anyway?

I suddenly remembered: Elsa was back! And, more importantly, she wasn't ignoring me. I jumped out of bed and slung on my light green dress, just as I had done on coronation day. The windows are open, so's that door... I smiled at the memory.

I ran over to Elsa's door, looking up at it in respect. That door had kept me out for years, years of begging, and crying, and threatening, and even trying to bust the door down!

I took a deep breath, then let it out. Slowly, I raised my hand up, then made a decision. I rapped on the door, "knock, knock, knock-knock-knock."

The door opened a crack. "No, thank you. I don't want anything, Maid Eliza. But, could you fetch Anna?"

I ran in. "It's me, Elsa!" I laughed, jumping onto her. "It's really me."

Elsa looked me over. "Well, I see your hair is back to its normal fiery ginger color. You look none the worse for wear." She blinked rapidly, and I saw her eyes tear up. "Look, Anna. I understand if you feel mad at me for blocking you out. I'm sorry."

I looked up at her, feeling nothing but love for my sister. "I forgive you. I understand how you thought you would keep me safe. I really do. But, the past is the past, so, LET'S PART-AY!" We giggled and ran to the stairs. Elsa started to go down them, then looked up.

"Hey, could you teach me how to... maybe..slide down the banister?" Elsa asked nervously.

I brightened. "I'd love to!" We spent the next hour talking and laughing, with very little teaching done.

"Princess An-na! Queen El-sa! Your guest has been waiting!"

"Oops," I giggle. "Sorry! I forgot!" I yell to Maid Ara. Me and Elsa slide down the banisters at record speed, bypassing all ten flights of stairs. I'm pulling ahead when, suddenly, I notice the temperature go down.

I look over at my sister. "Elsa! You cheater!" We both share a laugh. It seems like forever since we last laughed together.

"What? You never said I couldn't freeze my side of the banister!" Now Elsa is zipping along, the ice making her zoom down to the floor. She reaches it ten seconds before me, a feat that would've been impossible without her powers.

Suddenly, I remember. The guest! I run into the dining hall, only to gasp.

"I-it's you..."
