Elsa

I throw my hands into the air, letting loose a flurry of bright red snowflakes. They match my mood right now. All I want to do is unleash my power against Hans, but I know that would mean death for Anna.

So I surrender.

Hans relaxes his hold on Anna a bit, and I see her take deep gulps of breath in. Good. I'm relieved that she can breath again. "So, what about you two?" he asks, pointing to Merida and Rapunzel. "Will you surrender for this young lady's life, or will you take some more... Convincing?" Hans smiles.

"I may need more convincing," Rapunzel looks at me. I growl. "What? She's someone I've never met before, and you want me to surrender because-"

In a flash, Rapunzel is silent. Gothel laughs. "Oh, darling. We have so much to catch up on." Moving quickly, she ungags Rapunzel with one hand while grabbing her lizard with the other. Rapunzel's already large eyes widen.

"Pascal?" she whispers.

"Yes," Gothel sneers, "we all know how much you love him." She squeezes the lizard in her hand. Tighter. Even tighter.

"I.... I.... I'll listen!"

I start. Wait, what? "You'll surrender for a lizard, but not for my sister?"

She blushes. "He's not a lizard. Pascal's a chameleon." Gothel releases the "chameleon", which falls to the floor, then runs towards Rapunzel, squeaking and pointing with its tail at stuff.

Hans turns to Merida. "What about you? Do you need convincing as well?"

Merida coughs, looking at all of us. "I was goin' ta say aye tha whole time. I need answers. Yew were goin' ta tell us why yew  were here. So, no, I don't need convincin'." She looks around, staring all of us in the face. She was right, of course. We wanted to figure out why they were here, they came in and were going to tell us.

Hans breaks the silence. "Now, should I let Anna go, or hold her so you don't try to kill us while we're telling you the story?"
