The world as we know it

Chapter 3

    As they walked out on the mossy green grass, a tall, luminous, deep olive forest loomed over the groups of teens. The further you looked, the darker it gots. The only light to be seen was a speck in the middle of the forest.
"Alright class, today we are having a contest to see who can get to the middle of the forest. The catch is for your team to bring 3 creatures from the forest." Mr. Walker commanded with a hint of laziness. "I'll be in the middle of the forest waiting for the first three groups. They will get upgrades on their gear, and an advantage in the next class. The fourth, fifth, and sixth group will get a slight upgrade to there gear. The last three groups will get nothing. Now everyone, line up with your groups. Groups 9, 2, and 5, please get in the front. Groups 3, 4, and 1, get in behind of them. Groups 6, 8, and 7, get in the back." He said as he made his way to the front of the class as they got in order. "On your mark, get set, go." He said as he snapped his fingers and vanished into thin air.
Group 9 was in the lead. It consisted of Fate, Nicole, Ray, Jackson, Sky, and Devin. They were the top group in the class, always getting first place in every assignment they got due to their assortment of skills. Group 2 consisted of Nellie, Cleo, Shelly, Rosie, Lewis, and Edwin. They were good at hiding, but not so good with weapons. Group 5 was always last, but for some reason they got lucky and came in third place last assignment. It consisted of Lucas, Dale, Aubrey, Kiara, Catherine, and Trinity. Right when the second group was inside of the forest, they quickly vanished into thin air, not being seen. Group 5 only walked in, being cautious and checking for animals. Group 9 was also nowhere to be seen, not because they were up in the trees, but they were farther ahead than any other group.

They split up into 3 teams. Fate and Nicole, Devin and Ray, and Jackson and Sky. Fate was fortunate, she got a half nymph that had earth magic. Nicole rapidly grew trees for them to jump on and quickly made them disintegrate to make sure they weren't being followed. They swiftly came to a halt when they saw a deer. Fate dipped one of her arrows in a potion and got ready to shoot. All you could hear was the deer falling to the ground with a thud with the arrow next to it. Fate felt proud when she hit her target just enough to nip it and the potion to go in, putting it asleep.
They quickly dove down, grabbing the deer and darting towards the middle. Due to them  being rather close they made it there in no time, being the last people to show up in the group. "Nice work, you're the first group to show up with all 3 animals so you get an 100. Now can you pry those two apart, they've been making out nonstop for the past 10 minutes." Mr. Walker complained as he pointed to Jackson and Sky as they practically shoved their tongues down one another's throat. As Nicole started to walk towards them, Sky lifted up his middle finger and a circle of blue fire rose around the two and they disappeared. Most likely back to their dorm room to fuck each other. "Well I guess you can go back to your dorms since you finished in the first 15 minutes." Mr. Walker said, a tad bit annoyed that they finished the challenge so quickly. Devin and Ray went to Devin's dorm due to Ray living with her sister; while Nicole and Fate went to the hell dorms where Jackson and Sky lived so they could stop Sky from fucking Jackson so hard he couldn't walk for weeks. True story.
