Walking into set was like coming home after a long holiday. It was nice to see all of the familiar faces, and be creating with all these talented people hat I have come to love.
The first people we were greeted with were Amy and Frank (the creator of the show). We were immediately instructed to head off to hair and makeup.
First I went to wardrobe, where today's outfit already hung in front of my changing room. Pulling out the usual long sleeved t-shirt and joggers, I changed into them, hung my clothes away, and left for make up.
Entering the make up room, I sat on one of the armchairs, giving my face Claire, to the woman that usually did my make up. Boys usually just needed some base coverage, so I was out the chair before Briar could even enter the room.
I sat on one of the couches on the opposite end of the room, waiting for her to finish. She was wearing her usual black one-piece, shorts and top with some embellishments near the top.
Once she got her usual stage makeup done, Claire curled Briar's previously straightened hair into the perfect locks that Richelle had come to have. She gave her hair one final spritz of the hair spray, before Briar too was free to go.
"So right now are we dealing with the annoying Richelle or the nice Richelle?" I asked Briar, referring to how many different mood swings her character would have. One season she's really nice, the next she's super rude.
"Both," she laughed, entering the set for 'Studio A'. "No I think she's going to be nice, just for regionals," Briar commented seriously. It was true though, her character hadn't really caused much drama in the run up to Regionals.
"Mmm," I murmured in agreement, walking towards Frank.
"Ok, Logan has just arrived and is getting ready, but until then, I supposed you two can do some scenes together," Amy shrugged. On set, we were usually told to do things with our characters names, so I got into full Noah mode.
"We don't have a script for you two, so just wing it," Frank smiled.
"Ok, what kind of things do we have to say?" Briar asked.
"Watch season 4, I guess. Ooh, maybe Richelle could be talking about it first and then Noah hears and joins in? And then he can play the idiot and you can tell them where to watch it through his questions and stuff," Amy explained.
I walked until I was out of shot before Frank called action.
"Hey there steppers!" As soon as Briar said the line, I was motioned to enter the frame.
"Hey," I nudged her playfully. She gave me a judging look worthy of her character. "What ya doing?" I asked her in the same manner.
"Telling them to watch season 4?" Briar gave me a weird look.
"Woah... where can they watch it?" I asked, bringing us back to the script.
"On the Family Channel app," Briar said matter-of-factly.
"For free?" I raised my eyebrows.
"Yeah!" Briar smiled.
"Then let's go!" I spontaneously grabbed Briar's hand, pulling her away from the frame excitedly.
"Wait!" Briar laughed, stumbling back into the shot.
"Don't forget to-"
"Watch season 4 on Family Channel!" I joined in with her, before we both ran out of the shot.
"Perfect," Frank called, as they clapped. "One take."
"Ok, Logan, up you come darling," Amy smiled, motioning Logan to enter the room. She was dressed as Amanda in her usual dance outfit.
