Days flew bye. Going to training, producing at the studio, rehearsing for the tour... it was all a blur. She was the only thing on my mind.

It was the Friday 9th May. 6:36PM. My date was at 7:30PM, reservation for 2 at an Italian restaurant called Carisma in Downtown Toronto.

I found myself inspecting my appearance in the mirror in front of me. I was wearing deep, burgundy, floral dress shirt with the sleeves folded, and cream coloured pants held with a brown belt. I styled it slightly, sweeping it to the side with a bit of gel.

The vibrations of my phone pressed against my leg, notifying me. Reaching into my pocket, I pulled it out.

Incoming video call: Isaac

Seemingly perfect timing.

"Yo," I answered the phone, bringing it up to my face.

"Hey. I heard you have a date with Briar in an hour?" His expression was teasing yet proud.

"Yeah. Kinda trying not to freak out," I laughed nervously.

"Don't worry. You'll be fine. Are you gonna ask her to be your girlfriend?"

Silence.

"I mean... I want to... should I? I feel like I've been, you know, romantically linked to her for so long, that I I could just skip straight to being with her. I've waited enough," I suggested.

"Yeah, I think you're both ready. There's no point prolonging it."

"Okay. Like my outfit?" I flipped the camera, displaying my clothes in the reflection of the mirror.

"Yeah! Love it," he grinned, making me smirk.

"Cool," I responded, reversing the camera again.

"Where are you taking her?" Isaac questioned.

"An Italian restaurant downtown."

"Sounds nice," he commented.

"I'm picking her up from her place at around 7," I informed him.

"Oh, ok. You have everything you need? Feeling ready?"

"Yeah," I exhaled deeply, cracking a smile. "I'm excited, bro. I've waited way too long for this. Now I finally feel ready to date her. I'm in love with her," it was like I was reminding myself, still not quite used to it.

"Awww, Mylo. You're so cute, it's kinda sickening," Isaac joked, both of us laughing.

"Honestly, I can't thank you enough. You're like another brother to me, dude," I suddenly felt very sappy and appreciative.

"Love you too, bro," he grinned, walking from what seemed to be his garden to indoors. "Well, it's like 6:45, you should probably be leaving soon to pick Briar up."

"Yeah," I agreed absently,

"Have a great date. Remember, it's just Briar. Be yourself," Isaac emphasised.

"Of course," I made a mental note of his advice. "See ya, bro," I smiled.

"Bye, Mylo," he grinned, ending the call.
