"Hey, no need to be so dramatic, sweetheart." An unfamiliar voice said out of nowhere.

A short yet loud scream escaped my throat as I stood up and faced where I heard it, "Where-How-" I was at the loss of words, processing the situation was getting harder and harder.

She stood there like everything was normal. Short raven hair, tinted rose-red lips, and a petite physique. The lady was rather sophisticated and suave in a manner I couldn't quite place. Wearing a dress shirt with a blazer and a pencil skirt, dark-colored stockings and matched with a pair of stiletto pumps. She was also holding an umbrella that complimented her aesthetic very well.

I blinked a few times, couldn't help but stare on her eyes, "Sorry-could you please, just...Explain to me what's happening here?" I asked, knitting my brows together out of confusion. Plus, my head was thumping like my bedroom door every holiday my cousins come over.

Her smile, as white and bright as the pearls in the sea, "Simple. You've been evicted from existence." Suddenly, her grin faded into an almost pout-like frown, "Did you not read the note I wrote for you?"

"Oh, I have-I did...You have very nice handwriting." I subconsciously complimented. Hearing her flattered giggle, I only realized what I've said. 'I'll let it be, it looks like she liked it.' I thought, smiling at her.

She cocked her head to the side, observing my expressions on my face, "Quite the charmer, aren't we?"

With this, I let out a chuckle out of both embarrassment and genuine joy. It's nice to finally have someone with me here.

"Oh, how rude of me! I haven't introduced myself formally." She exclaimed as she took off her glove, and stretched out a hand for me to shake, "Eloise Brigette Gwendolyn Macfarlane."

"Skye Everest. Pleasure meeting you, Miss Macfarlane." I replied with a soft grin, accepting the handshake. "Eloise, please." She added as we retracted hands.

I nodded, "Um...Mind telling me where we are, Eloise?"
