chapter 6

when i had woke this morning i had a text from the welcoming committee telling me that i needed to come in early to show a new kid around. so when i walked through the doors i went straight to the office and found mr brown.

"you said you needed me to show a new kid around?" i asked him "yes his name is sam just be a friend and help him get to his classes. he's over there" he said pointing to a boy with fluffy hair and a god like structure. i slowly walked over to him. "hi i'm skylar and i'm on the welcoming committee and i was just wandering if you need help finding your classes." i said politely. he looked up and smiled at me showing his braces "yes actually that's help a lot." he said handing me his schedule. "oh look! we have first period and lunch together" i said. "that's great" he said standing up.

all through first period i had gotten to know sam. he was really cool guy and i could see him being friends with me.

when it was lunch i went and sat down at the usual table with sam. i looked around waiting for calum. when he finally walked in we made eye contact and i smiled at him. he only looked at sam confused. he sat down beside me and said "who's this" while pointing at sam. "his name is sam and he's new. he's pretty cool if you ask me. i think we should invite him to hang out with the group tonight?" i said more like a question. "i mean we could ya know. i remember what it's like being a new kid." he said while grabbing my hand. i smiled at him. "so what do you say sam. want to hang out tonight?" i looked at him. "yeah sure. where though?" he asked "i think we are all meeting at the mall." calum replied. "alright i'll see you guys then" he said as we parted ways for third period.

when school was over i went back home to chill for a little since we were meeting at the mall at 5. i had like an hour and a half to chill. *bing*
from calum: im picking you up at 4:30
to calum: okay.
i sat down my phone and decided to take a nap until time for calum to be here.

i woke up to the sound of knocking. i jolted up and checked the time 4:26.
knowing that it was more than likely calum i went to the door and opened it. "ahhh look at you" he exclaimed making fun of my drooping face. "shush i just woke up." i said "well let's go so we aren't late." said as he pulled me out the door.

when we got to the mall we first seen sam so we walked up to him. "hey sam" i said "hey guys." he said while looking up form his phone. "i think the others are in the food court should we go check it out?" calum questioned. "yeah let's go"i said.

we walked to the food court and i instantly saw chanel luke and michael plus three new people. chanel saw us and waved us over. when we approached she saw sam and instantly came to my side "who is that." she whispered "guys this is sam. he's new from my school and i thought we could all be friends" i said to the people i knew. chanel came back to my ear "he's hot" she whispered kinda loudly because sam heard and looked over smiling at chanel.  "oh right i forgot" she said "this is emory ashton and lilli. emory is luke's girlfriend and lilli and ashton are together. me and michael are single." she continued "nice to meet you. i'm skylar." i smiled at the new people.

as the night went on chanel and sam got closer and i became better friends with ashton lilli and emory. we had made a new groupchat with all of us in it to make plans and we named it "CONSTIPATED PAPA BUBBLE BUTT" we also don't know how to explain the name.

calum drove me home holding my hand on the way there. "so that was fun ya know" he said "i really like them they're super funny and cool" i replied as he pulled into my driveway. we got out and he once again walked me to my doorstep. he engulfed me into a bear hug. even though it was a simple gesture it was super sweet. "i had fun" he mumbled into my neck. he pulled out of the hug still very close in proximity and looked into my eyes while leaning it. i started to lean in and close my eyes. our lips finally met and it was a very short and sweet kiss but the feeling lasted forever. we pulled away and calum smiled at me and walked way still looking back at me "goodnight sky" he called out and then drove away.

i walked into my house and went to my room. i had laid down and now was left alone with my thoughts and i realized how much i actually like calum hood.
