Imagine.....

You are watching television on a day like any other. You feel your phone vibrate in your lap and turn it on to see who it is. You see that it is from your boyfriend, Jackson. You guys recently had a fight, so any communication between the two of you has ceased to exist. You hesitantly read it, afraid of what it might say.

You sigh lightly and think about what you should say. Deciding it would be best if you didn't try to avoid him, you agree.

I'll meet you outside your house then

You turn off the television and put on a random pair of shoes. You grab a light sweatshirt and put it on as you open the door. Sure enough, he is sitting on the curb with his back facing you. You sigh again and shut the door, causing him to jump up on his feet. "Hey," he says. You give him a slight grin.

"Hi," you say as you shove your hands in your coat pockets. He moves his head to the side, motioning for you to follow him. You walk down your steps and begin to walk beside him. There is a long silence that drifts through the air as you walk.

"So I've been thinking and you were right," he says. You look at him and he returns it briefly. "I shouldn't have made you feel like I was putting you on the back burner. It was wrong and I'm really sorry." You let out another small sigh and shove your hands deeper in your pockets.

"I really don't know what I'm supposed to say," you reply, laughing a little. He laughs too.

"It's fine. You don't have to say anything," he says looking at you. You smile as he takes hold of your hand and intertwines it with his. You move closer to him and lay your head on his shoulder as you continue walking.
