JB and Jackson Part 1 - Who Will It Be? (Jealousy, cute)

Imagine....

You are waiting at a restaurant for your friend, JB, to arrive. "Hey beautiful," his familiar voice says from behind you. You turn around with a smile on your face before standing up and hugging him. He returns your hug tightly. The hug ends and he takes a seat in the chair across from you at the table.

"Again with the compliments?" you say in response.

"It's not a compliment, it's the truth," he says with a grin and looking you right in your eyes.

"Well thank you for being honest," you reply. He laughs a little, then a silence settles between you.

"So, did you think about what I asked you?" he asks, his facial expression now serious. You sigh and looked down at the white table cloth below you.

"Yeah, I did," you answer.

"And..."

"Look JB, I really like you, but you can't make me choose between you and Jackson. It's not fair," you say. He lets out a heavy sigh.

"I know it's not, and I hated having to ask you, but," he begins. He takes both of your hands in his gently. "I like you and I want you to go out with me, not him." You look down at your intertwined fingers. Your eyes move to his face for a few seconds before pulling back your hands.

"I can't promise you anything other than I'll think about it," you say. You can see the slight disappointment in his eyes as he nods.

"Okay, that's all I ask," he says. Another silence falls upon you. "Now, enough with all this serious talk. Let's order," he says, trying to sound cheerful. You smile faintly and nod your head.

The next day at the park....

You are swinging on the swing along side Jackson. "That was really embarassing," he says as you laugh out loud.

"Yeah and hilarious too," you say, still trying to catch your breath from all that laughing.

"To who? You or me?" he asks, sounding defensive.

"Everyone," you reply, starting to laugh again and looking at him. He just grins and shakes his head at you. Your head falls to the ground in laughter before a silence comes along.

"So I talked to JB today," he says, now with a serious tone in his voice. You look at him again, this time wearing a surprised expression.

"You did?"

"Uh huh. He said that you had a good time on your date," he said, trying to make the conversation seem kless serious.

"Well we did, but I wouldn't consider it a date. I mean, it's not like we're dating," you say in reply. You hear him sigh.

"Yeah, about that, I don't want to make you choose between the two of us. It's not fair and you shouldn't have to," he says, sympathy in his eyes. "But, I just want to know if you had to choose, like your life depended on it, who would you choose?" You turn your eyes to ground in thought.

"I don't know. I guess I've never really thought about it seriously," you say, chuckling a little. "You both have your strong and weak points. I like you both the same."

"Then why is it so hard for you to choose?" You look at him again and he has his eyebrows lowered.

"That's why. I like you both and you both like me. It's not easy choosing between two great guys without hurting the other," you say. He just nods his head.

"And like I said, you shouldn't have to choose. It's just, I hate waiting. I want to know, I need to know, who you want to be with. I promise I'll try not to be too upset if it isn't me," he says. You shake your head a little.

"I wish I could answer that for you right now, but I can't," you respond. He sighs and looks down. "Mianhae."

"Nah, it's okay. How about this, whoever you choose, if you ever chooose, just tell that person and not the other. That way, at least I'll know for sure. Okay?"

"Okay. I'll do that." He forces and nods.

"Well, I better get back. I'll see you around," he says, standing up.

"Bye," you say as he begins to walk away. You turn away from him after he disappears down the street. You spend the rest of the day deep in thought.
