Chapter 19: An Unexpected Visitor

For the past few days, the group returns to Katen village after hearing there are still officers coming in their village. Yoon also decides to examine the soil as to why or what kind of crops could grow in the village. While Yoon does that, Zeno and Mana play with the children as the others help either with more construction of the village or getting rid of the officers.

"I'm going to take a walk. Can you take care of the children, Zeno?" Mana asks.

"Leave it to Zeno." He replies.

"Thanks."

With that Mana walks around the village and soon Rekka perches on her shoulder when she spots Shin-Ah, Kija, and a person sitting on the ground, panicking.

"Hey, guys." Mana greets.

"Oh, Mana-sama." Kija speaks.

"What's going on here?" She asks mainly at the strange man.

"I was trying to tell Shin-Ah not to move around too much because of his injury, then I found this man." Kija explains and Shin-Ah nods with Ao.

"Really? Are you sitting on the ground because you don't feel well?" Mana asks the man who stops panicking and turns to her.

"Huh? Where did I see him?" Mana thought.

"Y-Yeah... I'm a little dizzy." The man says.

"That's serious. Do not fear. You'll be better in no time if you see Yoon." Kija says and picks up the man with his dragon hand.

"I'm okay! I'm okay!" The man exclaims quickly.

"You don't have to be so reserved! Yoon can do much wonders with medicine."

Mana looks back at Shin-Ah who just shrugs causing her to sigh before following Kija who still carries the man. Kija stops by Zeno who has the children playing and sitting on his lap.

"He went to another village with Jae-Ha?" Kija repeats.

"Yep. He left." Zeno cheerfully replies.

"I see. I have an emergency, but..."

"No, I'm fine already..." The man carried by Kija says exhaustively.

"Then we'll look after him, right Zeno?" Mana suggests.

"Right~!"

"Wai-"

"I see. I'll leave him to you two, then." Kija drops the man down then leaves.

One of the kids rushes inside and brings out a bowl of ginger soup.

"Here."

"Wh-What's that...?" The man questions.

"Ginger soup! It works well against illness. Warm yourself up!"

The man takes the bowl but looks at the water with somewhat disgust. He suddenly tips the bowl, letting it about to spill.

"Oops. My hand slip!"

In a flash, Zeno traps the soup with his hands before it could spill to the ground.

"Hurry... Hurry and get the bowl!" Zeno tells the man who listens and holds the bowl under Zeno's hand, but the soup filled only halfway then it normally does.

"Oh no... If these hands were as big as Hakuryuu's." Zeno says looking down at his hands and two children come over, looking at the bowl of soup. "Sorry. Some of it spilled."

"What a waste."

"Right?"

"Hey, is it alright to give this to them?" Zeno asks the man who looks somewhat confused.
