Chapter 12: Chains of Courage

"I'll sneak into the human trafficking camp. I will launch the firework." Yona says.

"Yona-chan!" Jae-Ha shouts.

"Other than bringing down Kum-Ji, the goal this time is to save the women being sold, right? We need to quickly find the boat they're on and take them to a safe place. For that purpose, I will creep into the boat to let you know which boat it is."

"Wait." Hak interrupts from behind. "I'm a little against that idea."

"Right! Penetrating the stronghold of Kum-Ji and his officers... Such a thing too dangerous!" Kija agrees.

"I'm against it too." Yoon declares as well.

"Yoon." Yona calls and Yoon gets closer to Yona.

"To launch the firework means you'll have to carry an explosive onto the boat you're captured! Then you'll have to go up on deck by sneaking past the lookouts from within the boat! If they found you, they'll kill you! It's absolutely impossible!"

"It will be difficult overall to let your comrades know where you are with a small firework you manage to bring on. We may be in the middle of fighting." Hak states.

"If Shin-Ah is there, he should be able to see my signal no matter how far away I am." Yona states.

"I told you, its–"

"The enemy's number is large." Yona cuts Yoon off. "We don't have time to look inside one boat to the next. It will be too late if the women are handed over to the Kai empire while we're fighting! To stop that from happening by going in amongst the women to ensure their safety, that's a job only I can do, right?" Yona asks. "Captain Gi-Gan, please let me fight too."

"This girl... It looks as if she grew up without knowing of the carnage of this world. Though sometimes, she has eyes like those of a warrior who has run through the battlefields." Gi-Gan thought and smirks. "She might even surpass me."

"If we are to succeed, we might certainly be able to rescue the woman." Gi-Gan says.

"Captain?" Jae-Ha calls.

"However, going in alone is reckless. One person should sneak in with you in order for this plan to work."

"I will." Hak volunteers.

"I will." Kija also volunteers.

"I was going to say it has to be someone who can wear female clothing and look feminine." Gi-Gan adds.

"What?" Kija says.

"This is Kum-Ji's most important merchandise after all. If you're not as beautiful as the other girls, you'll be turned down at the front gate."

"I will." Hak volunteers again.

"I will." Kija follows.

"I will." Jae-Ha also follows.

"Don't you listen to what people tell you? Are you that impossibly confident? The brawn has increased by one person this time." Gi-Gan says. "Well there are two candidates I can think of..." She then looks over at Yoon and Mana.

"Eh?" Yoon says and Gi-Gan points her pipe at Mana.

"You're a pretty girl and a great fighter. You have a great chance to succeed with the plan with her." Gi-Gan says and points her pipe at Yoon. "You're a sharp one and you can handle gunpowder, right?"

"W-wait a minute! When it comes to women's clothing, I definitely wouldn't lose to the girls around there! Since I'm a pretty boy. But our opponent is a corrupted overlord." Yoon says. "I'm still against Yona and Mana going, you know? Even if I join her, we don't know whether or not the plan will..." He trails off as he sees Yona making the face saying, 'Yoon, you don't need to force yourself.' "...Well, when it comes to handling gunpowder, I'm the only one who can, I guess."
