She would always tell herself she could do this. She would use no help it would be just fine...

I was glad to have stood up to my father once again, but I didn't exactly process what I had done until the morning after. I groaned as I sat up in my bed and remembered my words.
"Oh well, might as well go for a run," I muttered to myself as I climbed out of bed.
I walked over to my door after my morning routine and expected it to be locked. To my surprise, it wasn't. I hesitantly opened the door, thinking it to be some trick. When nothing bad happened I continued on to the double doors that led in and out of my wing.
"Aw man," I muttered as I realized these doors were the one he locked.
As I turned and looked at the closed doors lining the hall, I realized why he had locked just the doors to the wing.
"Bastard," I muttered as I walked towards the window, away from the sleeping alphas.
"Well, that's quite a mouth for a princess," a voice sounded from behind me.
I turned my head to see the alpha from the night before, the one my father was pimping me out to.
"It is one of my best qualities," I said sarcastically as I opened the window and swung one leg over the side.
"You're not what I expected, I'll give you that," he mused as he moved closer to me.
I shrugged as I swung my other leg over, "Yeah, well I've surprised a lot of people lately, even myself."
Then I jumped, shifting mid-air and landing on my four paws. I turned to look back at the window to see Alpha Isaac smirking in the window. I gave him a wolfy grin before taking off. Maybe the next few days won't be so bad after all.

After a few hours of running, I trotted back towards the castle to find Alex standing there with a few of the alphas. He looked very annoyed and was holding an extra change of clothes for me. I walked up to him and took the clothes in my mouth before I went behind a hedge and shifted back. Once I had made myself decent, I walked out from behind the hedge to the group of men.
"Did you miss something today?" Alex asked as he crossed his arms over his chest.
"Not that I know of," I said slowly, trying to think about what he could be hinting at.
Then it hit me and I threw my head back with a groan, "I'm sorry! I forgot, there's kind of been a lot going on."
His serious demeanor turned goofy as he grinned at me and lightly hit my arm, "I'm just messing with you. We do need to do it today, but there's no time limit."
I gaped at him and smacked him back, "You made me feel like a horrible friend!"
He chuckled and pulled me into a hug. I returned it and moved back to face the alphas, while Alex kept his arm around my shoulders.
"So are you two like a couple?" One of the unknown alphas asked.
"I'd like to be," Alex said with a grin and I smacked his chest lightly.
"No, we're not," I said with a laugh, "I'm not going to be with anyone but my mate."
The other alpha nodded, "I respect that."
We talked for a moment before Alex stated we need to start training.
'Your father wants them to watch,' Alex mind-linked me as we walked.
