"Something is off. A lot is off to be honest. Did the Supreme Elder not see it?"
"Commander Zaph, you were calling for me?"
I turn around to face the laboratory worker of our village. She works in the Withal Organization but still wears the village's sign above her white grown on the left arm.
"You have my thanks Mrs. Doctor Takahashi. May we talk in private, please?", I say while looking at her with fabric masked face, only revealing her brown-greenish eyes.
"Yes. Please follow me, Commander."
I did as she says and soon we arrive at her office.
As soon as we sat down I open the conversation.
"Doctor, I came to talk to you about something because our Supreme Elder has your trust. So whatever happens and we might find out it has to be reported to him. And only him. Understood?"
"Yes, Commander."
"Good. I want you to run some tests on River. Our Supreme Elder's daughter. As you already know she fell in the river Seal and has the spirit in her," I say directly looking at her. The last sentence hushed since this information is under high secrecy. Not even the people living in the village know it. If this leaks it could lead to many problems.
"I see, may I ask why? I need to know what to check on her.
Is our Elder requesting this?"
I sigh and look down on the table.
"No. I am requesting this. He doesn't know about this."
I look up at her to see how her eyes widen in shock. Of course. It is much more than just disrespectful to plan something on someone's daughter without telling the parent.
"To be honest there is something about all this that troubled me. I can't have our Elder have to worry about this without making sure it's not a false alarm.
Are you still willing to help me?"
The Doctor stays silent for a moment while looking at her hands.
" Fine, I will help you. But you need to tell me about what you are thinking about.
After all a sudden check up on her without informing him could catch suspicion and problems. "
" Yes, I know and I will tell you all about this. Thank you."
I lay the documents I have been carrying around in my bag in front of her on the table."
"These are the documents of River Mecancy. I am in charge of them. And I trust you. So please this is under hight secrecy."
"Yes, Sir..."
While opening the documents I start explaining.
