part 9.

Tay's p.o.v

one month later--

I was fixing my dress in the mirror when there was a knock at the door.

me: come in. I yelled.

The door opened and Candice walked in with her dress on.

me: Hey boo you look so cute. I smiled at her.

Candice : so do u. she said

Every since last month when me and liyah met Candice at the nail shop we've  became friends so liya invited her to her wedding.  yup,  that's right the wedding is today and I'm so happy for my girl but I'm not so happy that I'm gonna be seeing khalil for the first time in a month.

Candice: so who else is gonna be at the wedding, I haven't met any of your friends. she said .

me: well you'll meet them at the wedding but my ex is gonna be there and I'm really not looking forward to seeing him . I sighed.

Candice: well, just say with me the whole time and stay far from him.

me: that's a great Idea. I smiled at her.

There then was another knock at the door and we both turned our heads .

me: come in.  I said.

In walked in Ashley with her dress on .

I ran up to her and hugged her and she hugged me back.

me: Ash you look lovely .

Ashley: so do u baby ! she smiled at me.

she then looked at Candice and waved.

me: oh Ashley this is me and liyah's friend Candice , and Candice this is Ashley, my brothers wife . I introduced them.

They both smiled at each other until Ashley looked back at me.

Ashley: I'm came in here to tell you that the wedding is starting in 5 minutes so let's go . she said and walked out the room.

we followed behind her and entered the room where the wedding will be held in. we took our seats and I roamed the room looking at how pretty decorated it was.

I then looked at all the people until my eyes landed on khalil. He was laughing and talking to Jordan and dam did he look sexy in his suit.

Aaliyah's p.o.v

I took a deep breath as i looked in the mirror one last time. I was so nervous but happy that I was getting married to the man I love.

There then was a knock at my door and my father walked in.

me: Hey daddy. I smiled at him.

Dad: Hey baby , you ready ? He asked .

I exhaled

me: yup. I said as I took his hand.

we then walked out the room and stopped in front of these two double doors. we then walked through them and I saw everybody there looking at me in awe.

The wedding music started as everyone rose. My father and I walked down the aisle all the way up to the stage. My father let go of my hand  and took his seat as i stood in front of lamar.

He looked into my eyes and I looked back into his. The pastor started speaking until it was time for us to say our vowels.

khalil p.o.v

Everyone clapped as Lamar and Aaliyah kissed after they said their vowels. I was so happy for Lamar but i just wish me and Tay were in the same situation they were in.

I looked around the church again trying to find tay in the crowd for the second time.

Then the announcer told everyone it was time to cut the cake so the bride and groom walked over to the cake with everyone following them.

I was about to walk over to the cake until I saw Candice talking to tay.

I was so confused. How did they meet ?

I swallowed the lump in my throat and walked to the other side of the cake so that I couldn't be seen.

After everybody finished their cake it was now time for the bride's and groom's close friends and family to say a few words about the newly wedded couple.

liyah's parents and cousins said a few things and now it was time for her friends to say something.

The mic got passed to chris and he stood up.

chris: yo! yall just got married and I'm so happy for yall , turn up ! He yelled into the mic and everyone in the church laughed .

After him, trey and Jordan went and now it was my turn.

I stood up with the mic in my hand.

me: well, this is a new chapter in you guys life and I just wanted to say I'm happy for yall and I wish yall the best. I said and passed the mic to the next person.

Candice p.o.v

when he stood up to speak I almost shitted on myself.  I can't believe he's here.

I looked over at tay and she rolled her eyes at him . I forrowed my eyebrows but then the mic was passed to me.

I stood up and spoke into the mic.

me: liyah, I met you and Tay last month and I'm so happy that I ran into you guys that day at the nail salon, I'm also happy that I was able to see you get married today . But congrats boo love you. I then passed the mic over to tay and she stood up.

Tay's p.o.v

me: liyah, I love you so much boo ! we've been friends since we were like baby's and to see you get married is a very excited thing to see . And Mar , you better treat her right boo, i fight men too. I said causing everyone to laugh .

I then sat down realizing i was the last one to speak so i gave the mic back to the announcer that announced it was now time to get on the dance floor.

After we danced and ate everyone congratulated liyah and Mar again and now it was time to leave.

on my way out I bumped into someone.

I looked up to see khalil .

khalil: Hey . he said quietly.

I rolled my eyes and continued walking until he grabbed my arm and pulled me back into him.

khalil: look , I really miss you tay, can we try to work this out? He said .

I sighed .

me: khalil we technically never broke up and I realized how much I missed you too, so we can try to work this out I guess. I said .

He smiled .

khalil: Thank you tay, and I'm sorry about having an attit--

He was cut off by someone saying his name.

???: khalil ?

I looked up to see Candice looking at him with a confused face. I looked back at him. and he had this nervous look on his face.
