Chapter 16 ~ Mission: Heartbreaker

Darren's POV

I invited Kathy over today for a little hang out. I got changed into some black skinny jeans, a white shirt, my red varsity jacket, and red low cut converse. While I was fixing my hair, I heard the doorbell ring. I ran down the stairs and got it before anyone else could. "Hey Kathy, come in." She walked in the house and she was wearing exactly what I was except everything was for girls. "Look Darren, we're twins!" "Let's take a picture together." We walked to the mirror and took pictures of us together wearing the same outfit. I posted them on Instagram saying "twinning with my GF @KathyKat17" I turned off my phone and walked over to where Kathy was. She was in my room looking at all the pictures of me when I was younger. "You were so cute then. What happened?" She asked. I crossed my arms and pouted. "Aw, I'm just kidding your my boyfriend, you're adorable." I smiled and walked out of the room "be right back." I walked down stairs and set up the movie.

Kathy's POV

I sat at Darren's desk and looked at the files he had on his desk. One of them caught my eye. On the front it said, Mission Heartbreaker: Katherine Dione.

I opened and looked at everything.

Description: Get her to fall in love with me and then break her heart once again after 5 months.

Mission: Not Accomplished Yet

I stopped reading it and closed it. Tears started streaming down my face. Darren walked into the room and asked "What happened?" I held up the file and said "I knew you were too good to be true." I threw it at him and ran out of the room. I could hear him running after me. "Wait, I can explain!" He yelled. I stopped and turned around. "How can you explain? You can your little friends want to play me like a toy again? Control me like I'm a puppet? Is that what it is? Don't ever talk to me again!" I ran out the door and slammed the door behind me. I ran to the pond and sat there crying. A few minutes later, Felicity came by and she came to comfort me. "What happened?" "Do you really even care, you were the one who tried to steal my boyfriend." "I'm sorry for that, but I'm still your best friend. That was a stupid thing. Please tell me what happened, I'm here for you." I started spilling my guts to her for the rest of the afternoon.
