[ Yay for new POV ^u^ ]
// SetoSorcerer POV //
The sky was loosing it's warm orange glow. It was turning evening. After a while, Jordan broke the hug. I felt regret prick at me inside. I could have stayed like that forever. It was difficult to hide my gentle blush when Jordan offered me a hand. He was doing his best to comfort me, I could tell. Without hesitation, I took his hand, and he led me deeper into the dense forest. However, there was no birdsong, and after we'd walked for what felt like forever, we had to accept no hunting was going to happen.
We were on our way back when I heard the trickle of water. I stopped, and gave Jordan's hand a little tug. He followed me in the direction of the water, and the trees opened out to a river. The river led straight up a hill. Curiosity got the better of me, and I began to walk up. Jordan followed me without question, though I noticed his hand was on the handle of his sword, prepared in case we met some unwanted visitors.
The hill looked peaceful. The river opened into a little pond like the one by our tree. By now, it was dusk, approaching night. The sky was a deep blue-purple colour, and stars were speckled across it. A yawn escaped my mouth, and Jordan looked at me.
"Want to rest for a while?" he asked me. I nodded in response, and he settled down next to the pond. I noticed him release my hand, and I felt a stab of disappointment. He slid off his glasses, freeing his azure eyes. I couldn't help but turn and look. The way that they glinted silver in the moonlight made them look even more beautiful. I didn't notice I was staring until Jordan turned to look at me. My cheeks flashed red, but all he did was smile. I breathed out a sigh of relief.
"What district are you from?" I asked him, enjoying the peace.
"I'm district twelve, with xRpMx13. What about you?" he replied.
"Eight. With Brice." I answered, feeling my throat tighten a little. I saw his eyes widen guiltily.
"Sorry, I forgot-" he began nervously, but I silenced him by sliding closer and leaning my head on his shoulder. I felt him tense for a moment, but then loosen up. A part of me thought about Taylor. I was fairly certain that they liked one another. Yet I couldn't disguise the way my heart fluttered slightly when I looked at Jordan.
"Seto?" Jordan said quietly. I lifted my head to look at him. His eyes met mine for a brief second, and I saw a flicker of anxiety pass through them. Before I could ask, I felt his lips press against mine. The awe that flew through me felt like a bolt of lightning. After getting over my nerves, I relaxed into the kiss, and slid my arms around his neck. He did the same to me and, for a split moment, it felt like everything was going to be okay.
