Antonio's POV

He smiled what I thought to be his most genuine smile in years.

It was just the one I'd been waiting for. "Okay, okay. I'll stop," I said. He smiled up at me, a look of pure joy in his eyes.

"It's alright, Toni. It's good to laugh every once in a while."

I returned his smile. I couldn't even remember why I had started tickling him in the first place.

All I remembered was seeing his captivating amber eyes, like warm honey. His messy hair, with the curl still intact.

He had taken my breath away, along with whatever I was planning on saying.

Lovi had been so adorably frustrated, which gave his cheeks a slight flush. He always looked so cute when he was mad.

His cheeks were still flushed even now, adding to his radiant smile. Those eyes stared into my very soul, filling me with joy.

All I wanted to do was make him mine. Kiss him all through the afternoon, watch movies with him and go on thrill rides just to see his vulnerable side.

But most importantly, I wanted Lovino to be happy. And he was happy being in a friendship with me. No matter what my feelings were, I couldn't take away his happiness for my own.

As long as I could just be with him, I'd be happy.

I was suddenly snapped out of my thoughts when Lovi rolled over on top of me. Then I was being tickled.

I screamed and he laughed. "L-Lovi!" I exclaimed.

"What? I couldn't let this be a one-sided thing, Toni," he replied with a devilish grin. That grin would've made any woman fall for him, right then and there.

It shouldn't have been wasted it on me. "Hey," I said in between laughs. "It's... 10... 50..." I finished and immediately he stopped.

"Holy tomatoes! We're gonna miss the plane!" He looked down at me as I realized the position we were in.

Lovi was straddled over me, almost sitting on my legs. And his arms were by my head, pinning me down. A very non-platonic position, from past experiences.

I felt my face get red and he blushed furiously as well. We both looked away to hide our faces, but managed to look back at the same time.

His flustered gaze met mine. We just sat and stared at each other for a minute. After that I almost couldn't help myself.

I looked down at his lips. His soft, perfect, pink lips. It took all my willpower to not kiss him right then and there.

I have to resist, I told myself. He thinks of me as just a friend, nothing more. I bit my lip to ease my temptation.

The small gesture always helped me control my emotions. Something about the feeling of my teeth biting into my lip pulled me back to reality.

If only it were his teeth... My face got even hotter with that thought. I had never considered something like that with Lovi! Especially not when we were just friends!

I bit down harder. "Toni," Lovi started. He looked like he was struggling even more than me.

But that couldn't be. We were friends. He had me friend-zoned for sure- why couldn't I do the same to him?

I thought about what Francis had told me. "Why, it's l'amour, Toni! Don't deny it, just go for it!" He had said exactly that when I had told him I had feelings for someone.

But did it change with Lovi? Because we were friends? Should I really go for it? I couldn't be sure. What would he even do?

Hopefully one day, I'd get my answers.
