Chapter Six

Lovino's POV

During the plane ride, I fell asleep. I dreamed about Feli and what could be happening to him at his new job.

Then I heard Toni's voice softly singing. Even in my sleep, his voice reached me. I then slipped into a different dream.

We were sitting on my bed, eating ice cream. Just like we always did when we were together on ice cream Sunday. Toni was wearing my favorite shirt of his, a bright red one.

He had a happy smile on his face, and his hair was unkempt as usual. I loved his messy hair so much. He had that usual mischievous glint in his eyes that would make any girl pinpoint him as a bad boy.

"Lovi?" He asked, turning to look at me. His eyes were suddenly full of love and admiration, the mischievousness replaced with affection.

"Yes Toni?" I replied, eager to know what he would say.

"I love you, Lovino Vargas. I love you to the moon and back, and much more beyond that."

I smiled and my eyes filled with tears of happiness. "I love you just as much, if not more," I said back.

He reached up and held my face gently with one hand. We both leaned in towards each other until we were only a few centimeters away. Then Toni leaned in just a little more, and..

I woke up with a start. What the heck was that?! Toni was singing softly, but stopped once he noticed I was awake.

"You alright?" He questioned, eyebrows furrowing in worry.

"Yeah.." I answered. In truth I was pretty shaken up by that dream. I couldn't stop feeling his hand on my face, his lips so close to mine.

'I love you, Lovino Vargas."

I shook my head, trying to get rid of the tendrils of sleep. That dream was very different from reality, I told myself. I should just forget it.

"Well, if anything's wrong, let me know." He smiled warmly, but the expression was different than usual. His smile didn't quite reach his eyes. It was as if he was hiding something from me...

"Toni what's wro-" I began.

"We're here now," he said, cutting me off. "Let's go get wet!"
