Three months passed since I had encountered Jaehyun. I had decided to move out. I wanted to become more independent and also find a more cost-sufficient job. Wendy proposed to me a cafe owned by a friend of hers and though the time schedule was quite tiring, it wasn't such a bad start. And the salary was comforting.

The time was 5.45 am and the sun hadn't even risen yet. I took a cold shower to wake up and dressed up casually and comfortably. The cafe opened at 6.30, but we had to be there earlier to prepare the stock. It was a Thursday morning and for unknown reasons we were full of customers, something that enlightened the boss's face. It was my first time dealing with so many people and I was afraid of doing something wrong. "Y/N, please take my place at the cash desk for a minute. I have to go to the market to exchange some money". Lisa, my co-worker told me. Thankfully we were four in total workers so the others wouldn't have any problem in dealing with coffees without me. "Hello, sir, two cappuccinos and one chocolate cookie. 4,40 in total". "One orange juice and a water, 1,50 in total". "One americano and two chocolate cookies...2,80 in total". I was so busy calculating on my mind that I almost forgot giving a man his change. But, as my fingers touched his warm hand I couldn't help but raise my gaze to the man who was standing in front of me. He was wearing a face mask, but his eyes were glowing. "Jaehyun!". "Hey Y/N!". He smiled at me taking his mask off. There were people waiting behind him, so I didn't have the time to react to all that and greet him properly. Thankfully, he got the point and stepped aside, waiting for me. Lisa got back immediately and I told her I'd be back in a minute. Jaehyun was standing there drinking his coffee, as I burst into his hug. "Aw, I've missed you so much JaeJae". I told him as I took a deep breath of his scent. "I've missed you too, Y/N. Sorry to have come here and distracted you. When do you finish?". He asked me. I looked at the clock, hanging on the wall. It was almost a quarter to twelve. "I've got another hour here. Would you like to come by then, or...". "I'll wait for you outside in one hour". He said and smiled at me, meaningfully. I blushed and nodded. I returned to my shift and Lisa was looking at me playfully. "What?". I laughed at her. "Nothing". She said all smiling. "We're just friends". I told her. "Cliche". She told me and got back to her work.

I quickly changed clothes and got outside. I looked around but Jaehyun was nowhere to be seen. I automatically grabbed my phone to call him, but I felt two hands touching my shoulders softly. I turned around and came across his shiny eyes. "Hello again". I told him and smiled. "Hey, you". He smiled. We spent the whole afternoon together, talking about the past months we hadn't properly seen each other. It was around eight o'clock when we decided to go to the park. Our park. "Ice cream?". He said. "Yes sure". I told him when my phone rang. It was Jackson. I had totally forgotten about him. I'd always call him after work, but that day... "Hey babe". I answered the call. "Hey Y/N. Where are you?". He said worriedly. "Well, I'm sorry for not calling you. Jaehyun has just arrived in town and we're out. Are you okay?". I told him. There was a long pause to his reply. "I got worried something happened to you, Y/N. I'm fine. Say hi to Jaehyun from me. Are you free tonight?". He seemed like he was trying so hard to hide he didn't like that situation. I didn't want to worsen things though. "Yes, I am. Why don't you come around to my place". I told him, not entirely sure if I wanted that. "Yes, I will". He said, with his mood instantly changing. We hung up as Jaehyun returned with two scoops of vanilla ice cream. I smiled at him. "Thank you!". "You're welcome. That lady is so sweet". He said while enjoying his ice cream. "What did she say?". He looked at me and then changed his sight. "What?". I laughed. "It's funny, well... She told me that we still look so happy and in love together". He said while I felt his voice cracking. I looked down at our feet, that where synchronized. "Well, it's sad...". I said. He stopped and looked at me. "What is it?". He said. "That I don't remember us...". I told him, emphasizing the last word. "What's in the past, remains there Y/N. Don't overthink about it". He said and smiled lightly, continuing walking. I stood there looking at his tall figure. He stopped and stood there still. He wouldn't turn around to look at me. I approached him slowly. "I am sorry Jaehyun". I whispered to him. He quickly turned around his face inches away from mine. "How would you feel if I kissed you?". His words echoed in my ears. He was staring deeply into my eyes. My body was shaking and my eyes couldn't help, but only look into his. "Um, let me have some ice cream. I finished mine". I said nervously, smiling. He smiled and kept looking at me, moving his hands away so I couldn't reach the ice cream. Memories flashed on my mind but were quickly wiped away. I looked into his eyes and gave him a kiss on his cheek. Though, my lips didn't exactly lean on his cheek.

His lips are cotton candy flavored and I can taste the vanilla ice cream. He wraps me around his arms and deepens the kiss. I can't help but smile, as I am buried in his hug. I let go of his lips and take the ice cream from his hands. I start running playfully and laugh while he is trying to reach me. Lost game though. He wraps his arms around my waist and starts tickling me."No, no! The ice cream!". I can't stop laughing though. I lick some of it and I playfully look into his eyes. I guess, I kind of turn him on at this moment. He leans in closer and has a bite of it, looking into my eyes. He sticks his body on to me and kisses me again. More passionately this time.
