Her name was Jaden. At least, that's the name she had chosen for herself. She grew up in what started out as an orphanage turned factory that was just a cover for the Hydra facility it really was.

She was one of many children who went through the hydra program. She didn't need to go through the hypnosis sessions the other children had to go through. And no one ever told her why. But that didn't matter. What mattered to her ass getting her sixteen-year-old ass out of this facility quickly enough that she didn't get caught.

She quickly tried to move the very few items with which she shared a cell. She tried, but it was no use. The muscles in her arms were practically non-existent. If a doctor were to examine her, they would say she was extremely malnourished. That she needed to spend some time in the sun due to the paleness of her skin. That she should have something to eat because of how thin she was to the point where her bones were visible through her skin.

Her attempt to move the seemingly heavy furniture was futile. It was too heavy for her. She was physically weak. Kept that way on purpose. It was intentional to keep her submissive while the other boys and girls became strong warriors for the Hydra cause.

From the time she was an infant to the time of sixteen, she only knew herself as subject number 9379. At the age of six, she was removed from the other children, isolated from what she knew because she had made a toy float in the air, and she had yet to go under experimentation. She was locked away in a cell for a year under observation, the number she had come to know as her name was branded to her forearm and the symbol for Hydra experiments was branded to her shoulder blade. The powers she exhibited were nothing but mind blowing considering there were no serums in her blood prior to that time. Nor was her blood completely human as the agents had discovered, though no mention of that discovery was ever made around her or put in her file.

Once her year under observation had been completed, she was to be tested. Serums were rarely injected into her, and if they were, they didn't have any effect aside from the change in color of her hair from brunette to a pale violet and her skin from a healthy tone to an almost white shade of ash.

Giving up on her attempts to move the furniture in her cell, 9379 closed her eyes, imagining the items to be moving. When she opened her eyes, the bed and nightstand were against the door. As a child she would create illusions then turn invisible to see just what she could do before getting caught. That was how she had discovered the dogs, enhanced dogs that were used to track the children who tried to escape. While invisible, she would test the powers she was born with. Powers of flight, mind reading, and teleportation. Her powers over nature would have been seen so she avoided practicing those until she was outside. But she didn't know when that day might come.

Prior to this moment in her life, she had never once tried to escape, so the dogs were never trained to her scent, and a tracking device was never implanted since there was rarely a moment to herself and she was always surrounded by guards. Because of that, she literally didn't know the meaning of the word privacy.

Break the camera her mental voice said, and the device that had been hidden in the corner of her cell snapped. Sparks flew from the electrical wiring as she turned invisible. She opened an invisible portal that led her to a city she'd only ever seen in fake windows and stepped through it. She remained invisible after closing the portal. Her clothes turned invisible with her so she was not worried about strange looks she may have received, not that she'd know what those looks were.

9379 stepped out of the portal she made, the stench of the streets and the sounds of bustling peoples overwhelmed her senses as she took in her surroundings. She turned visible causing one person to drop whatever they were holding. Coffees and other items fell to the ground as others followed the first witness.
