"The JAID program is special. Unlike other ones Axelei have established, this is much more important." Code Zero began to explain once the four had changed into some training gear.

"Chase and Execute, two out of the three leaders in this institute had offered to help train you. You'll get to choose which person but they'll only handle one each."

"But there's three of us." Code Six pointed out.

"I'll train the other one. I'm actually supposed to train all of you but the two wanted to help." Code Zero said.

"Wait, can I take one of them instead?" Code Trace asks the three's supposed overseer.

"Are you sure? You're already busy with finding info about him, are you not?" Code Zero asks the girl.

"I mean, I am... but you can also do that. I'm tired being behind the computer all the time... I want some action!" Code Trace says enthusiastically.

"Do you have any combat experience?"

"Uh, no... But that's also one of the reasons! I want to train with them."

"What would that help you with?"

"When bad things happen... I guess?"

Code Zero sighs at her childishness. She would deny this plan but she knows that she won't relent. "Fine, but if I don't see progress in this weekend, whoever is assigned to you will be appointed to me."

Code Trace's eyes sparkled. "Yes! So who do you guys pick?" she asks the three who remained silent in their little fight.

"I'll go with you" Code Tet says almost immediately.

"W-wait, I wanted to go with Code Trace..." Code Six protested.

"Aww, thank you guys..." Code Trace says, feeling flattered.

"I won't be fighting for Code Trace. I choose Chase." Code Four established her choice.

"Why's that?" Code Six asks. "Do I need a reason?" she retorted.

"Okay then, all that's left is Code Tet and Code Six. One of you has to give up. The one who does will be put under Execute's wing." Code Zero tried to settle their argument.

"I think Code Trace should decide." Code Tet suggested.

"Ehehe... Nope. I'm completely out of this fight."

"How about a challenge?" Code Six proposed an idea. "Something that can settle it fast and isn't complicated."

"Like... Rock, paper, scissors? The game fits our criteria, settles things fast and is easy to play." Code Zero suggested.

"I guess we can do that. Out of three?" Code Tet insisted. "Okay, rock, paper, scissors, shoot!" Code Six started the game.

In the end, the one who emerged victorious was Code Tet. "Well, it looks like Code Six will be with Execute." She sighs at her lost. "I guess that's fine. He's my second choice anyway."
